Since I happily own a backpack from PGYTECH, I know that I would also be happy with the camera strap from them. The strap is very well made and looks great. I also own a strap from Peak Design that has been on my camera for years. Both are great but I do prefer the connection system of PGYTECH over Peak Design. The load-bearing cables of PGYTECH connectors feel more robust than the Peak Design ones.While I like that the PGYTECH strap has padded section, it does make the strap less compact when trying to pack them away in my already crowded camera backpack. I was looking for a simple but reliable sling strap for my camera and this one fits the bill pretty well. The strap material reminds me of what is used for seatbelts in cars, but thinner. The padded shoulder part is thicker, but not obnoxious like some others are. The end buckles are plastic, but do seem to be durable enough. The bead design on these allows you to snap them in to the buckle with one hand. Getting them out takes a fair amount of pressure on the release tab.Having the attachment base on this strap be an Arca-style mounting plate is a really nice touch for quickly being able to put the camera on a tripod. In this configuration, the long length of this strap (even the shortest adjusted length is still quite long) makes more sense, as does the inclusion of the base plate.I like that this is a sleek, minimalist strap that isn't trying to be flashy, but still looks like a step up from some cheapo budget option. At full extension, this isn't an issue. But if you adjust the length of the band to get the camera closer to your waist, the strap loops open up. It would have been easily solved with two bands to hold the loop closed.Still a very high quality strap and perfect for folks who often switch from strapped to strapless, but it's one small detail away from greatness!
