Good strap, but long length is an issue for around-the-neck wear.
25 June 2023

This is a nice higher-end camera strap, clearly inspired by and made to compete with similar offerings from Peak Design, etc.Although the product photos show someone using this strap worn around their neck, in my experience with it it's best used in an over-the-shoulder sling. In this configuration, the long length of this strap (even the shortest adjusted length is still quite long) makes more sense, as does the inclusion of the base plate.I like that this is a sleek, minimalist strap that isn't trying to be flashy, but still looks like a step up from some cheapo budget option. Depending on what camera you intend to use and how you like to carry it, this might be a great solution for you.I use this with my full-frame Sony mirrorless, and feel like it's a good ... MoreThis is a nice higher-end camera strap, clearly inspired by and made to compete with similar offerings from Peak Design, etc.Although the product photos show someone using this strap worn around their neck, in my experience with it it's best used in an over-the-shoulder sling. As always, potential buyers will need to evaluate which camera strap makes the most sense to them, based on features and brand reputation.

My new favorite camera strap!
13 June 2023

I have exclusively used Peak Design straps on all my cameras for the past few years. And for good reason, they're well made and they work.I was curious to see if this version by PGYTECH would match up. I've used other PGYTECH gear in the past and have been very impressed by the build quality. This strap matches up to the competition in every way. It's priced less, and that's an excellent start. And from there, every other aspect is just as good or better than the leading competitor of this style of strap.I really like that they include a plate you can attach to the bottom of your camera which is also an Arca-type quick-release plate to fit a tripod. I thought that was genius. The strap is very sturdy and well made. It will long outlast most cameras. They include four connectors which is nice so that you could use this strap for a couple of cameras.Great job PGYTECH.

Really nice kit with one minor issue
14 June 2023

Love the thought that went into the design of this strap kit. From the packaging to the materials, everything is well made and high quality. The novel quick connect mechanism is fantastic because it is both secure and doesn't add bulk to the camera when you remove the strap as would be the case with plastic clips for example. This is great if you often use the camera without a strap (e.g. set up as a web cam) since the small plastic beads are hardly noticeable and don't get in the way.It comes with an Acra base plate that lets you quickly move from tripod to on body. A minor nit is that the baseplate requires a hex key to tighten. The padding is cushy and soft without being overly thick and bulky. And the webbing that the strap is made of is thick and durable. And this is where I have to dock 1 star: because of how thick the material is, it doesn't want to sit flat when doubled over. At full extension, this isn't an issue. But if you adjust the length of the band to get the camera closer to your waist, the strap loops open up. It would have been easily solved with two bands to hold the loop closed.Still a very high quality strap and perfect for folks who often switch from strapped to strapless, but it's one small detail away from greatness!

Secondary strap = good. Primary strap = there are better options
3 June 2023

This strap is okay, but I have some gripes about it.Speaking of the positives, the strap is comfortable and lightweight. It's great that it comes with an arca swiss plate because I prefer strapping in there and it's much quicker to place my cameras on tripods. I like the color of the strap as well. This is going to be my strap for my second camera, so it's fine for it.My main gripe is the possible durability. The material of the strap doesn't feel or look cheap, but seems a bit delicate. There was some evidence of fraying out the box (not severe, but it was there on close inspection) and the material on the shoulder section will probably rip if it snags on anything.Rating: 3.5/5 (rounded up).If you're tight on money, this is a good strap. Strap is Comfortable, Durable with an Excellent Quick Release System. Length is a Problem
18 June 2023

This strap has a lot of great features. It constructed of soft, thick nylon webbing with reinforced stitching throughout. The plastic hardware is designed especially for this strap system and it’s functional and durable. The neck band is soft padded and widened for comfort.I like the quick release system incorporating a ball on a short tether that can disconnect from the camera with a firm press. There’s a reassuring “click” when it’s engaged and the design makes it nearly impossible to come out accidentally. But the one problem I have with it is that it is too long and can’t be made shorter. The shortest length is 42” and longest is 58”. If my camera is worn in the sling position, then it works fine. Everyone likely has their own ideas about length for camera straps, but I would have appreciated the option to make it shorter. A second concern is the large loops that form when the strap is shortened. Hardware to keep them in check is needed.Bottom Line: Well made, durable, comfortable strap. It's long and when shortened, large loops are created that make the camera difficult to pack. With a few changes, this neck strap could be much more functional.

The fabric and design feel a bit awkward, but this is still a very practical & useful strap.
20 June 2023

I like this camera strap a lot, because it's fairly bland. And it works.I know the "bland" part sounds odd, but I've avoided most camera straps (despite desperately needing one) because too many of them seem to shout "Look at me! I'm a real photographer!"I have nothing to prove, and don't need to impress anyone. I just want to take photos, undisturbed, and with a functional, practical camera strap that does what it should... and that's what this one does. It's not the most comfortable design. I'm pretty sure it could have been made simpler and more sturdy. However, for convenience, this is well-designed and easy to use with my rather heavy (and clunky) 35mm DSLR camera. For now, I like it and plan to use it as my main camera strap as we travel. Very nice, but longer than I want
17 June 2023

First the complaint: The shortest length for the strap (i.e., when it is adjusted at its shortest length) is about 43 inches. That number doesn't mean anything to me but I can tell you it is a little longer than I'd ever want for carrying over my neck but I would often want it quite a bit shorter. If I'm hiking quickly or scrambling on rocks or something, I'd like it to be tighter to my body by making it shorter. If this wasn't a Vine Review (meaning I got it for free to review it) I would return it immediately. That's just me, and it could be the perfect length for you.The good: Aside from the length issue, I think this is a great camera strap. The neat quick-attachment feature is cool and works well. Others have mentioned that it could be a little stickier to stay on your shoulder and I don't disagree but it hasn't really been a problem for me so far as I tend to carry over my neck.
