Love our Reversos. Accepts a wide variety of rope sizes (just not the large 11mm statics), and has very friendly handling and carabiner holes that fit almost any carabiner. Friction grooves provide just enough extra power when needed.If you ever need one for wider ropes, the original first generation (solid rather than cable loop) is pretty sweet.

Best tube style device on the market. Hands down. Better than the BD ATC. The best feature of this is generous hole to help the climber escape in a rescue scenario. Lightweight. Great friction on the rope. Works great in guide mode. Highly recommended.

This is a great belay device! It is super light (maybe the lightest?) I don't notice much difference in function between this and the BD ATC Guide in hole orientation or braking smoothness. Lowering a second is a little finicky as with all of these devices (that I've use) but thats a rare instance and I've done long lowers several times without incident, just jerky. If you need a guide mode belay device, this is a great option!

The Reverso is a smooth and functional belay device. Compared to the BD ATC Guide the Reverso is slightly lighter which makes me more likely to carry it on bigger missions.
The product has extreme good quality, is very and Lightweight and compact. I would say is for more advanced users... I'm not currently climbing, Bu i keep it in my paraglider gear. This is a excellent product.
Originally I purchased this to use in my local climbing gym as figure 8’s were not allowed and since then I would never think about needing a different device. The weight on the reverso is super light and stays attached to my rack the entire trip. It’s perfect for belaying, rappelling and top belaying from a different pitch. The teeth on the device are so grippy that when rappelling I’m able to let go of the rope completely and it will hold me in place (I am fairly light). However, this can make rappelling slow at times. I’ve found that flipping the device around so the teeth are no longer at the brake allows for a much smoother and faster rappel if needed. It weighs the same as a lightweight carabiner with safety, it allows you to rope without any hitch, unlike the grigri, if you doubt the resistance of the insurance, simply let the rope run a little and dissipate the impact force (recommended with gloves). rappelling the beal backup line 5mm rope in double with it, without problems, it is only necessary to add another safety carabiner accompanying the usual one to add friction. It allows climbing the rope and belaying independently for two seconds. belaying / rappelling / climbing rope all in a 57g little gadget.
So simple yet so good! Compared to other models out there, the Reverso shines in being lightweight, very easy to use (summer and winter),having the widest range of rope diameters, and my favorite - a large enough clipping hole to accept multiple carabiners - a huge time saver on certain anchor setups! Very easy to reverse direction (lower) in “guide mode” as well. My go to device in the mountains!
Nothing to say. Still excellent quality by Petzl. Perfect for ensuring, recall, relays. Ideally there is no hesitation between this reverso and others on the market. It is perfect for beginners or advanced.
This belay device is just what I needed. Great for glacier travel, having it in my kit of rescue gear. Love how lightweight it is and the bright orange colour.
