I was experiencing clunky up and down gear changes with my Z900 after the first service using 10w-40 oil.At 10,000 kms I decided to try 20w-50 for the oil change and now the changes aremuch smoother, so I'll use this from now on.
Looking for reasonably priced specifically formulated motorcyle...?It's hard to go past Penrite 20W - 50 Mineral Oil. This is my choice of engine oil and has never let me down, and I ride hard.I know some people use cheap on sale car oils designed for water cooled cars which "might" be OK but on air cooled bikes like old Harley's the oil IS part of the cooling system.Everyone has a story to tell about oils, tyres, lights, seats etc so won't tell you how to suck eggs. All I can say is Penrite 20W-50 Mineral Oil has been good to me.Ride safe....
I was using Motul before and will now be using Penrite from now on. The Motul made my bike rattle and was noisy. The Penrite makes the engine run so much smoother. No rattles anymore.
Bought this because of the great reviews it gets...and it was a bit cheaper than Harley oil.My 23 year old Harley Sportster 1200S is running a little smoother and mechanically quieter.I’m gunna stick with this stuff now. Noice!
My motorcycle has high mileage kilometers.and was starting to get a little fumy.On doing some research i found that Penrite do a 20w50 for big singles and older bikes.While my 1984 single was no great oil burner.a heavier oil was beneficial in a quieter and less smoky motor.I run Penrite semi -synthetic in my motor car and a heavier grade in my classic Holden.The zinc content is a big plus.a good oil that i purcased on sale.
I always use Penrite in my bikes, it’s a tried, tested and trusted engine oil. I use the mineral oil instead of full synthetic because my bike is 27 years old and the mineral oil is recommended for the older models.
Good oil range of Pentrite, pity its price was significantly higher than the competition across the road.
