The Souverän is the classic from Pelikan. The black-green striped barrel is recognized worldwide as a symbol of the Pelikan brand. The production of the Souverän barrel involves a complex process, as a specially developed formula for Pelikan is used to create a striped piece of cotton material through many steps, which is then bent and subsequently shaped to contour with a diamond. The gold-plated rings on the grip and cap are fitted with the utmost precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, characteristic Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design. The Souverän M600 piston fountain pen features a 14-carat bicolor gold nib and is available in nib widths EF, F, M, and B. The M nib provides a medium-width writing style and is particularly suitable for handwriting with slightly larger strokes.
