Picked this up at Bunnings ($129 as of Jan 2023) since I was sick of ending up with angled cuts when trying to cut 35mm pine at 90 degrees to the surface of the piece (blade was sitting at 90 when not in use, but seemed to be getting dragged sideways at the bottom when in use so the cut was something like ~80 degrees in the end (all angles are guesstimates, haven't pulled a protractor out, did take measurements and see the difference, haven't done the actual math).Figured this would be the solution. Don't try cut anything too thick, bought for a small DIY project, bit needed to rip down 45mm thick pine.Blade just covers the thickness, but the motor just isn't up to the task. So I took it slow, on my second cut smelt burning. Figured it was the slow speed... Then all the lights went out. RCD tripped out. Come back to the saw and notice the control box has literally melted. Smoke leaving the motor housing.Keep your stock thin and it's probably ok. Wouldn't recommend for anything heavier than balsa.

This diminutive device proves to be an admirable option for petite and weightless endeavors. Its commendable performance in this regard renders it a viable choice. However, should the need for a fresh blade arise, one must steel oneself for an extensive waiting period of no less than two weeks. Regrettably, this substantial drawback significantly detracts from the product's overall appeal.

Acknowledging that I can't cut a straight line with a circular saw with a guide I decided to invest in this little table saw despite the mediocre reviews...the job...cutting 5.4m lengths of decking length wise to complete the last row of my decking project. I purchased this yesterday and have used it three times so far. I wanted something for a few DYI jobs that I have put aside for some time. Based on a previous review I tested the saw first and also found that the guide rail moved while sawing. I have replaced the guide with a piece of wood held down with two g clamps. Otherwise it did exactly what was required. I also like that when I am finished I can just pop it on a shelf out of the way till next time.The only things that could be better would be a better quality guide rail and a bigger off switch.I would recommend this for small DIY jobs.

I’m not a carpenter and it was satisfactory for my needs; cutting lengths of pine to make picture and mirror frames, guitar cases and even sleepers. It’s much quieter than what I had expected. The overall hardware and components do the trick…However, being a saw, safety should be paramount and having plastic and flimsy knobs and plates is simply unacceptable. The worst offender is the fence; utter rubbish. The Ozito consultant need to take the feedback back to the manufacturer and address this issue. It moves around, resulting in inaccurate cuts. Why not a clips set up? I got around this by clamping down pieces of timber.The plastic knobs are simply ridiculous. The same goes for the angle adjustment knobs. ... MoreThis is a good saw. I bought this as a first time user, although the saw itself works.1. The guide does not lock in properly and tends to drift.2. The measurements for the guide is not aligned on mine, its off by 4mm.As a first time user this took some time to figure out and I now measure to edge before trying to lock in the guide.In the end it's a cheap model and I guess you get what you pay for.
This table saw is obviously super basic for the price-tag, but it doesn't feature an adjustable height on the saw blade. The description of the 'maximum' cutting depth is very misleading in this regard. There is only one cutting depth with the factory blades, and is only adjustable by changing these with third party products, a work around but still doesn't give much control over cutting depth.It's sold as a cheaper alternative to other products, but strongly neglects to mention in its wording that it misses this pretty basic and essential feature of a table-saw. As such, if you have any other electric saw this could be a pretty redundant and useless purchase.

Ditch the rip fence and clamp-on a straight piece of 40x20 dressed pine instead. Much easier.2. Make yourself a cross-cut "sled" (see YouTube videos for ideas or see mine in the attached photo.)3. The Blade Guard is a nuisance flopping down and it doesn’t stay upright. You can’t see the work/blade alignment. Cut a gap between the two plastic pieces and use the Blade Guard Mounting Bolt to squeeze the two pieces together against the Splitter. Now it can be held in any position.Likes:1. Soft start electric motor.2. Power latching relay. Cannot stay in the ON position without electrical power. I needed something that would fit into limited space on a limited budget, it also needed to be light enough to easily move around. This fits all those requirements. Firstly I read all the reviews I could plus had a look at the machine a number of times before buying: figured I could always return it as a last resort. I built a small stand to mount it on so that I could put it against my work bench giving me a bigger bed to work on. Setting the machine up was easy but, although the instructions are a little vague in places, it's not rocket science. After taking some care over setting the angles I cut a few test pieces and had no problems at all.
