I frequently eat and cook with avocados, I wasn't aware of a tool like this. This avocado masher overcomes this hurdle and allows for avocados that are a little bit on the firm side to be turned into a delicious avocado mash. The handle is comfortable and the length and weight of the tool are appropriate for its use. The avocado masher cleaned up easily in the dishwasher. If you make a lot of avocado mash or guacamole, this is a handy tool to have around. Highly recommend!

Ok so I like this handy kitchen tool. I thought outside the box and figured it would be good to cut melon into pieces without using a knife and behold it worked. I then tried it to make mashed potatoe and it worked well, the handle makes it easy to hold and twist while smashing the potatoe. The blade with silicone on it works to scrape around the bowl to remove food. It was good to smash up boiled tomatoe, onion & pepper to make a salsa. It is easy to wash and the handle has a hole that can be used to hang it on a hook. Overall it is a great tool to have in the kitchen.

The tool works perfectly to break up and chop ground meat while cooking. The tools has one blade that is silicone so you can scoop/scrape the meat out of the pan, and the edges of the pan. The tools goes through the dishwasher just fine. It feels sturdy in your hands, and is the usual great quality you get from OXO. I highly recommend it.

One of the rules I have when buying a new kitchen tool is that it must be multiuse. So when looking at this avocado smasher by OXO that was my first thought, and that is exactly what it is. From the first day I received this avocado masher I have been using it multiple ways. I have used it to roughly mashed my mashed potatoes. It has also done great at separating taco meat, chorizo, and ground beef. I have even used it to separate meat that has already been cooked for my barbacoa tacos. Of course, I cannot forget about the guacamole. it makes mashing and scooping the avocado a breeze. Great multiuse tool that will make cooking your favorite a bit easier.
OXO kitchen tools have always been a hit in my household and this avocado tool is no different. It’s the perfect tool for when you’re trying to prep for guacamole! It scoops the avocado perfectly and somehow manages not to break the skin, which is very helpful when you want to make sure you get every bit out of the skin. It mashes very nicely as well, so depending on how much mashing you do, you can have a decently smooth dish or a chunkier guacamole. The handle is comfortable and I love that it’s dishwasher safe. I'm obsessed with this product! If you are having worries that this tool will be limited to only performing one task, DON'T BE! I was a little hesitant about getting another tool that might only serve a single purpose but I've honestly found myself using this all week long doing various things - scooping mangoes, smashing avocados, mashing potatoes, and my favorite: breaking up ground meat while cooking. It is also a super helpful bowl scrapper for any batters or dips or dressings you make too! Highly recommend!
This OXO product works well for mashing avocados and only avocados. I wish the handle was longer to make it easier to stir in bigger bowls as opposed to getting my sleeves in my salad every time. It's very stiff and has no give I wish I had a more flexible neck to give more of a flow to better incorporate the ingredients. I also wish I had more than one soft rubber sided tip maybe a dual sided rubber tip would be more suitable. All in all, it's just okay and unnecessary in the kitchen.
I love this handy tool. It’s perfect for chopping and mixing all at the same time. I’ve used it for cooked potato as well as avocado and it is great job. I also like the end that is like a spatula so I can scrape the bowl while mixing at the same time without having to switch tools. It’s comfortable like the other Oxo tools I love and use every day. It also washes very easily. Definitely recommend if you love avocado toast or guacamole!
We love eating avocados and this tool OXO smash & scoop avocado tool is a must have. I didn’t know I needed this! This tool works best on soft or ripe avocados. If they are a bit too hard then I just get a spoon to scoop out the harder pieces. I literally get so much use out of this smash & scoop avocado tool! This is the best tool to make an avocado toast. This OXO tool makes it easy to scoop out all the avocado then with the same tool I mash it up. Mashes it up pretty fast and easy. I use it often to make my guacamole. I have also used it to mash up a baked potato. I wanted a small side of mashed potatoes, and this tool worked for that too! This tool is easy to wash up and I like the size of it, it’s easy to handle.
