OXO Good Grips Non-stick Pro Dishwasher Safe 10" Open Frypan

I bought this pan over the soft grip version because I sometimes go from stovetop to oven for dishes, and didn’t want to worry about wrapping the handle with wet paper towels and foil, incase the oven got too hot. I seasoned the skillet on low, and once I started using it I was giddy. I found I could cook at lower temps with out hot and cold spots like my old, college, set of pans. Yes, I kept them that long. I also didn’t have to work around a hump in my pan like my 12” T-fal. All in all a great pan.

3-year OK, now damaging cooktop

Unlike many nonstick pans, this coating as stood up well. We bought the Pro version as it was dishwasher safe and that is how we generally cleaned the pan. HOWEVER, now, the outer bottom is very degraded. Wish I could add a picture of the pitting and show you how the bottom seems to be separating from the sides. There sharp edges along the bottom rim, sharp enough to cut a finger and seriously scratch a solid electric cooktop. Replacement will be cast iron.

Excellent mid-size fry pan

Lightweight, easy to clean, cooks evenly. Perfect for people who have trouble with the weight of a traditional fry pan, but also excellent for everyday use by anyone.

Great Non stick pans

Although I prefer OXO stainless steal pans for most things, but if you really don't want it to stick, like eggs, then these are the pans you need. We have been using them for more than one year and so far, no staining or chipping in the pans. However, I did use a metal spatula to chop up hamburger and that destroyed the coating to the point that I replaced the pan. My wife uses these pans more often than I, but they are used quite often and we are pleased with the outcome when we use them. One of the biggest benefits is the handles. They are rounded so that they do not dig into your hands like most other pans. Go to the store and lift each brand, you will see exactly what I am referring to.

Great Pan!

We had an 8” oxo pro Pan, and added this one. It is well-weighted, and cooks very well. It has also held up perfectly, due to two things. We use a silicone spatula so as not to scratch the pan, as most folks know. It was news to me, however, that one cannot overheat non-stick cookware, because once burned it loses that property. A half-heat setting is the maximum one should use. !!! CAUTION !!!

Great nonstick pan- easy to clean also

I bought this pan after seeing the review of it on America’s Test Kitchen on PBS. I have some Lodge cast iron, which I love, but I wanted a low maintenance nonstick pan for cooking eggs and quick sauté meals. This is perfect! It makes a perfect fried egg every time. I hand wash in order to keep a nice finish on the interior and exterior. But it is easier to clean than cast iron, so I find myself using it frequently.

Hot Handles

The set cooks well and cleans up well. They are none stick which works well. The issue is the handles are advertised as riveted stay cool handles. This is not true. The handles do get hot and the cover on the pots get very hot, you can burn your hand. The dissapointing part is the company told me I am not cooking on the stove correctly when using the pots. So they won’t stand by there product. I would not recommend this set.

Kitchen Essential

Love this frying pan. Can be used in oven up to 500 degrees (note the metal handle). Perfect for sautéing and frying and can easily toss contents without spilling. Takes abuse and still looks great. Highly recommend!

Love my OXO

I am on my third OXO Pro 10" Fry pan. These pans are great. The non stick surface is good and works well. The pan heats evenly, which is a plus. The handles are riveted to the pan so there's no problem with coming loose. As with all non-stick surfaces if you overheat the pan you will reduce the length of time the non stick surface will last. These will last as long or longer than any pan I've had.

Such a disappointment, wanted to love these

As much as we wanted to love this set that we registered for, after under a year of use we had issues with the coating coming off. After a very difficult process with customer service,and having to ship the while set back they were replaced. Now, again after under 2 years of use we are experiencing the same problem! I am extremely upset considering this was not an inexpensive product, and we have always hand washed and taken caution with this set. I hope this review helps others make a better choice, because the frustration and waste of money aren't worth it!
