Osprey Ultralight Dry Stuff Pack 20 Backpack Orange

(147 reviews)

Osprey Ultralight Dry Stuff Pack 20 Osprey’s Ultralight Dry Stuff Pack 20 is a very handy item that can be used to carry up to 20 litres of luggage but packs down very small when not needed. Its waterproof construction and roll-top closure mean that the contents will be well protected, or that wet contents such as swimming kit can be kept separate from other dry gear. There are shoulder straps and an adjustable sternum strap for a comfortable carry and there are side stretch pockets to quickly stash items in.

Dual purpose!

I love that this is waterproof! It's heavier than my s2s event dry sacks, but I get the added bonus of having something less bulky than my overnight pack that doubles as a summit pack! It's also a nice rectangular shape that will fit in my pack much better than the others when I squash my sleeping bag in it to use as dry sack! Happy with the purchase. Doesn't have much for structure but it absolutely serves its intended purpose!

Fantastic waterproof pack!

This pack meets all my needs for a variety of adventures! It packs down small, has waterbottle pockets, an exterior zipper pocket, and is seam-sealed with waterproof fabric. I will use this for hiking (in the rain), climbing, and paddleboarding. The roll-top closure make the pack expandable and enables you to fill it a little fuller than it's meant to be too! It's the perfect size to throw in my larger backpacking packs to use for side adventures as a day pack!

This bag will double as a dry bag, stuff sack and daypack. It doesn’t have a zipper closure but a roll and clip style closure which allows you to close the bag two ways 1. Rolled and clipped at the together at the top or 2. Rolled and clipped down on either side of the bag. This lets you expand if full and. It have a floppy bag if you have less stuff in it.The chest strap clip is great plus a deep exterior zip pocket and two side pockets. The material is not see through, my sister has a super light packable backpack from another brand and even in the black you can see though it. Not this Osprey one. But you pay for that with it being some grams heavier. Overall very happy.

Great pack!
11 November 2023

This bag does everything its says it does and a little more. The capacity is perfect for a days hike, though the material is really thin and that gave me pause around how much weight it can carry. I comfortably managed a complete change of clothes, tablet, waterproof coat, water bottle, snacks and a pencil case! I probably won’t carry anything pointy/with sharp edges as I can’t guarantee it won’t rip.It says water resistant, but I’ve submerged the pack and things kept in the dry bag main stay totally dry - not the little front pocket too though! The pack down size is brilliant, this isn’t going to worry someone who is tight on space, and it’s really easy to do.The straps feel surprisingly comfortable given how little material has been devoted to them. Also, I’m short with a smallish frame and the bag hangs really well on me. Might be a tad small for larger people. Test out if you can!

Minimalist Yet Feature Rich Osprey Crushable Pack
16 August 2022

Good if you are looking for something similar to the Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Day Pack or Ultra-Sil Nano Day Pack (super light super packable/crushable travel packs/light duty summit packs) BUT are wanting more features than just a basic single compartment shapeless sac.2 side stretch pockets expand carrying capacity (bottles, poles, etc). 2 additional zippered pockets are practical. The slightly nicer harness and compression straps add a little bulk and weight over the lightest of the ultralight alternatives, but the trade off is a bit more load stability and comfort, as well as some gear tethering options all for under 200g.Only con for me has been the dry bag roll top closure being less convenient than a zipper for quick in/out, but offers more water/snow ... MoreGood if you are looking for something similar to the Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Day Pack or Ultra-Sil Nano Day Pack (super light super packable/crushable travel packs/light duty summit packs) BUT are wanting more features than just a basic single compartment shapeless sac.2 side stretch pockets expand carrying capacity (bottles, poles, etc). 2 additional zippered pockets are practical. Not what I expected
26 April 2022

I'm sure it is good quality, however I was not expecting the bag to be what is was. The photo makes it look like the fabric holds itself a tiny bit. But really, the whole bag is like tent or parachute fabric, all around. It would be good for someone who needs a bag/sack that can be wrapped to the size of a fist. (very small) Like those nylon grocery bags, but backpack format, and surely more durable. But it is really uncomfortable to wear, and not something I personally would pay that price for.

Packet Rucksak
22 October 2023

I did not realise this rucksack actually comes folded up in itself as shown in the last picture. In the other pictures, it looks like a structured back pack.I picked this over the day pack as is has more storage space and assumed that as it is more expensive than the day sack, it was a larger version.Too late to change it now as I'm off hiking tomorrow!

Perfect for my needs
29 April 2023

This is an excellent and lightweight pack - just what I need for the summer ahead when carrying a light waterproof is needed, maybe a warmer layer too. I really like it … But, it arrives folded into it’s portage pocket and I didn’t pay sufficient attention when unpacking it - now I cannot for the life of me work out how to repack it into its zippered pocket. Wish they would include instructions. Apart from that, great.

Ultralite pack
9 October 2023

The Osprey pack is virtually identical (except outer zipper configuration) to one I bought about 2 years under the name of a small Colorado based company whose name I can’t remember. I like both packs, they are great for the small loads that they were designed for. However, current price is almost twice as much as the original. I bought the second one because the first started to wear out. The seam tapes are falling off so the pack is not water resistant and it never was totally waterproof. Also one of the shoulder straps is starting to separate from the pack. The original pack has seen a lot of use however and I am comfortable recommending the Osprey pack, but be mindful of its limits.

Where has this been all my life?!!
25 July 2023

I was looking for a pack that could pack into itself and stumbled upon this one that is a dry bag too?!! This is perfect for all my adventures! It's a great size, can be packed into it's own stuffsack, and I can toss it in my 48L pack on weekends to use as a daypack on side adventures. It doesn't need it's own raincover, cause it's a dry bag. I also plan to use it paddleboarding, because, dry bag!! It has two waterbottle pockets, a small external pocket, main pocket, and space for a water reservoir! Meets all my needs and more!
