For my own personal intended purposes, this is a near perfect backpack. Although I wouldn't likely ever be carrying a ton of weight considering the compact volume of the bag, I've noticed that the sternum and waist straps are a great feature which add a surprising amount of comfort and stability to even the lightest of loads. The cinch enclosure mechanism takes some time to get used to but I'm finding that the more I use it, the more I appreciate it. Aesthetically, this is by far the best looking compact bag I've come across. I haven't yet tested it under rainy conditions and there isn't much information to gauge how it will fare. I do wish the bladder pocket was slightly wider to accomodate my 13" laptop better. This is an incredibly nerdy review but I'll just conclude by saying that I am now a big fan of Osprey.

The smallest sack i now have in my possession ( i have several Osprey packs of varying sizes). I'm mainly using it for dog walks, carrying all their needs ( food, snacks, water, bowls, toys and poo bags). Typical Osprey quality and materials but I've only given 4 stars to this product as entry to the main body can be a little awkward. That said I will continue to purchase Osprey products, next one will be a 55-65l pack.

Love the daylite cinch option. Excellent zipper alternative for zipper haters like myself. There’s a hooded top for rain water protection and a clip to secure your cinch. The pack is high quality and light. Straps are comfortable and back is vented and padded lightly. For a light daypack it actually distributes heavier weight really well - I cant feel the weight of a full 1L nalgene. Perfect day hiking size. Snacks and water (it has reservoir pocket) and socks or whatever else you need for an afternoon.

It's awesome! I really like the color of this bag. It's just the right size. Carrying it is a breeze; the shoulder straps are comfortable and don't dig in. The drawstring closure is super convenient for quick access. Overall, it's great value!
If you're looking for a good, durable backpack, make sure you get Osprey. Their warranty is unmatched and their product and features are excellent. This day bag is meant for short hikes or walks. We carry a water bottle, some snacks and a few personal items. It's very light and comfortable. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a day bag.
I was worried that the cinch opening of this pack might be cumbersome or finicky ... but nothing could be further from reality. Opening and closing this bag is easy and efficient (prefer it over a zipper). It's reminiscent of Osprey's bigger backpacking packs which also end to use cinch closures for easy access to the main compartment. However, the main selling feature of this pack is the size. For me, it hits the sweet spot between being a comfortable to carry ... compact pack but still having lots of room for everyday or travel. Daisy chain loops on the outside also appreciated as it adds versatility to this pack. I also love that there are so many colour options.Uncomplicated design and Osprey quality make an unbeatable combination. Definitely recommend ...
Purchased this pack for my wife who is very petite and has had trouble with the fit of other daypacks. This pack fit her perfectly, and was comfortable for me as well (she is 5', 95 lbs & I am 6' 160 lbs). She loves the airflow allowed by the mesh/foam frame, zip pocket, and adjustable chest strap. The color options and durable fabric are also great. We took it on a maiden voyage in Shenandoah National Park and got caught in an afternoon thunderstorm that it shed wonderfully. It certainly has the most features and best quality of any other cinch style pack that I have seen or used. Couple that with Osprey's fantastic warranty, and you can't go wrong. Looking forward to many more adventures with this one!
Love the small size of this pack for shorter hikes. Good quality. Large enough to hold my DSLR. I can quite make the shoulder and chest straps work though. I’ve tried adjusting all of the straps and the chest portion sits high, gaps when I try to tighten it. If I widen the chest strap, the shoulder straps press into my arms, cutting off the circulation. I might just not be the right body type. Could be great if it fits you. I’m 5’7”, 130lbs, avid hiker.
I bought this for my daughter for hiking. It's such a nice size to hike with very low profile doesn't get in the way but she put her work computer note books phone and many other work related items and love it. again it's so low profile yet it holds everything you need. It makes picking up and going so easy. It sits so nice on the ground loaded with items and doesn't fall over. It looks professional and sporty at the same time. Great construction very durable. It made such a nice gift!
I bought the black version of this backpack recently and we are very happy with the size and fit of the pack. The hip straps seem unnecessary for this size pack as it is nearly impossible to make this pack too heavy to handle. That being said the hip straps are easily removed so they don't need to dangle annoyingly at your pockets. Enough space for a water bottle or two (or a hydration sleeve) plus any simple essentials. Shoulder straps are pretty minimal, but again, with the limited size, the weight is hard to get to a point that the pack is uncomfortable. Overall, a great pack for short day hikes.
