received my Oral B Pro 1000 Rechargeable Toothbrush for my January birthday. I replaced my other more expensive electric toothbrush brand that I had used for years. I completed a lot of research and it was favorable that the Oral B was proven equal or superior to the brand I was using. I waited to complete this review since I felt it was necessary to have proof that this toothbrush was better at cleaning my teeth. I know now the Oral B Pro 1000 has been proven significantly better than my previous electric toothbrush. Loses charge quickly

Second electric tooth brush but first rechargeable kind-dentist recommended switching from a manual one. The one I had before ran on a AA battery and I loved it-lightweight, very easy to maneuver but it had a flaw where water would get into the device (from the area where the new head snaps on) and ruin it. After 3 of those I decided to switch to this. Much bulkier and awkward to maneuver in the mouth. I do prefer the small round brush head, seems to clean all tooth surfaces well. I was excited about the rechargeable battery thinking it would be great but 8 months in and mine seems to die mid-brush even when it’s been on the charger for hours. Very disappointed I haven’t found a good long lasting electric toothbrush. I’ve used the Oral B battery operated toothbrushes for years. The ones that are around $10 in stores. But then I received one of these from my dentist and it was a game changer! With the interchangeable heads both my husband and I could use the same base, just change out the brush heads! But then I had a long work trip and my husband didn’t want to give up “his” toothbrush so I used the $10 battery operated ones again and my teeth never felt as clean and my gums would bleed and the brush head would sometimes cut my tongue. So I bought one of these babies specifically for me and this thing is amazing! Even better (looks wise, still same great clean) than the free one from my dentist since I believe this is a newer version, but still uses the same brush heads. I love that it pulses for each section of your teeth to total 2 minutes of brushing. My gums feel and look cleaner and my teeth are cleaner and whiter than before! I’m sure my dentist will be happy with my teeth on my next cleaning and we’ll see if my gums have improved from their dire days of using the not so great brushes. All in all, I love this tooth brush! It’s gently enough to not hurt my mouth while brushing, but great enough that I cant find anything left behind on me teeth after using. I can even brush my tongue without any issues and it cleans it to perfection.

Obnoxious! Skip this and get the Sonicare - you will be much much happier. I bought the Oral B to replace the Phillips Sonicare I’ve had for at least 12 years. The replacement heads cost more than the Oral Bs, but after trying the new brush of all of 3 days I ran back to my old brush. Oral B is LOUD. Every time I used it I smelled burning plastic or rubber - very unpleasant. Mine refused to charge - it sat on the charger and never stopped blinking. Each time I used it it would start of Loyd and by y but dwindle almost immediately. The button is difficult to shut off, you have to sort of cycle it down in steps before it will shut off. The head shape and action are very weird - hard to get into the teeth far back and overall just didn’t feel like I’d had a good ... MoreObnoxious! I am a long time Philips Sonicare toothbrush user but didn’t like how gunk collected in the handle so I decided to try Oral B especially since they have the 60 day money back guarantee. Well, I tried the toothbrush. I hated how it jarred my mouth and actually caused small cuts at the back of my mouth when I tried to brush my molars. I went back to my Sonicare toothbrush and just dry it off well after each use which has reduced the gunk. I called Oral B about getting a refund based on their guarantee. It’s right at 60 days and they told me I’d have to put it on the original box, send it back with todays postmark with the original receipt and basically provide a ton of personal info including my birthdate (why?) in order to get the money back refund.
