This is a great brush with a good variety of suitable settings. I holds its charge and is super comfortable to use. It is great for getting in to those hard to get spots.The brushing action makes your mouth feel amazingly clean and fresh.It looks super good on the vanity but you need to be aware that even though the base is magnetised it isn't really that secure and the fact that the brushes are not attached to the charging base but in a flimsy holder is not attractive and makes the system look messy.My only negative point is the cost of the brushes - at around $20 each you really do need to get the stated 3 months usage out of each one.

Just amazing! Had another Oral B for over 10 years that conked out a couple of days before Black Friday sales. I looked at this and wondered what on earth could make any toothbrush worth this price point but on sale I took the plunge.It’s like I had never cleaned my teeth before! Everyday is like having my teeth professionally cleaned. Amazing toothbrush. Only minor hassle is the heads aren’t everywhere like the cheaper Oral B but easy enough to order from S/S.

After a month of using the battery just never charged properly. It would say it was fully charged, I’d then go to brush my teeth and it would be dead after 5 seconds. Another issue I had was I would put it on charge and it would glitch from 0% to 100% in 2 minutes. Great when it works but good luck getting it to charge properly. Must be an inside electrical issue. Waste of money honestly.

Definitely an upgrade not only in the toothbrush system but in its cleaning efficacy. Less rumble than previous edition I was using and lighter and charges so quickly. It uses an app on the phone so be prepared to remember to take your phone into the bathroom for toothbrushing time. Different programmes give a different brushing experience. Its still too early to tell whether the whitening setting will have an effect. Its very costly so if you can get on on sale that's helpful.
The brushing is amazing but my toothbrush failed within 3 weeks. The brush still vibrates but the head has stopped rotating, which apparently frequently happens. The repair process takes 3 weeks, which is abnormally long. You might be better off going with a cheaper model. Also, be aware that the battery life is way shorter than entry-level models and you'll only get to use it about 10 times before the battery dies.

It tells me how charged it is so now I never run out of battery 20 seconds after I start using it, I love the different brushing options because I do sometimes have issues with sensitivity and that function is heaven. I also love the physical countdown, I find seeing how much time I have left makes the process feel quicker. I also love that it smiles at me every time I hit 2 mins. I bought it half price so I was happy with what I paid for what I got. It is heavier than my previous brush but its not an issue for me, it is a little quieter which I like. I have to say the toothbrush was amazing for its first 10 months, better clean than any other Oral-B toothbrush and I've been using them since the early 90's. Rotary brush, Sonic brush and back to rotary brush and then to iO 8, which impressed me no end, loved it. Two days ago it started making this horrible grinding noise. It has not been dropped, banged against things, etc. My last two brushed still work and none of the previous ones died on me and having to replace it. I am now back on the one I bought in 2011 and it still works perfectly. So absolutely not worth the incredible expense of buying one, yes it cleans very well but it did not last and the brush heads are ridiculously expensive.
I’ve had my Philips sonic are toothbrush for many years and it still works but I wanted a change. I chose the Oral B i0 series 8, it does a good job at cleaning my teeth and when I saw the travel case I presumed it was a charger too just like my previous Philips sonicare was but sadly it is just a case and not a charger. You would think that because the Oral,B i0 are so expensive a charging travel case would come has standard, sadly not so I have knock a star off. I have tried to see if I can purchase a travel charging case for the i08 separately but can’t find one anywhere. If I go away i will just have to take my Philips sonicare and charging case with me.
Had a Philips for 15 years. The customer support at Philips is amazing. They had changed the toothbrush a couple of times for free. Stupidly I purchased a IO series 8 by Oral B. Less than 6 months and the the battery drains. Raised it with them online and now heard nothing. The support centre is in Nottingham and so am I so will make me way down to see what they a willing to do. Utter waste of £200 for a toothbrush that has lasted 6 months.
Returned! Got a refund. The brush head didn’t fit when I tried to brush the sides of my teeth. If only they made smaller toothbrush heads probably would have been a great toothbrush. I have now purchased from shaver shop Philips Sonicare prestige 9000 & it’s amazing.
