Provides great heat so cooks food well. Each plate heats up immediately but after a couple of uses (it has not been installed for more than a fortnight) it has marks beneath the surface of the ceramic which cannot be cleaned off. If these markings spread over the entire cook top it will look very average in a short period of time. Have contacted company customer care but at this stage they have not been super helpful. Am awaiting a further response. Very disappointed

The extra room is terrific. I love the idea of a lock, but sometimes it can be slower than 5 seconds to turn off. And the controls are at the front (not the side) so they often get bumped onto different temperatures when I'm working, or when I need to wipe spills off them. The timer only works for one hotplate at a time, which is okay, but the hotplate doesn't seem to turn off automatically when the timer goes off. The extra ring of heat around the rear "double" plate can only turn on during cooking if you change the heat setting back to 5 first, which is a bit annoying. But it's FAST to heat, and Fast to cool down. And I'm GLAD it's not an induction stove, because induction doesn't work for all stainless steel pots, just the magnetic ones. So this stovetop will work with stoneware pots and ALL stainless steel, instead of just specific pots which are magnetic (and not all stainless steel pots are magnetic). YES, I would buy this model again. Great value at a great price, but it would be a match made in heaven if the controls were on the side instead of the front, and if it remembered my last heat settings, instead of re-setting to 5 each time each hotplate comes on. But for rental homes, it needs the instruction book to stay with it... or I'd be sticking with a cheaper and more basic knobs-on-the-side understand-at-a-glance model for rentals.

Awesome features
4 February 2023

The largest hot plate is at the back of the cooktop, reducing the amount of grease on your kitchen floor while cooking. Previous had a 60cm, was easy to upgrade to 70cm because the cutout is the same

Don't buy
24 August 2021

I guess you get what you pay for, awful design , when you try and engage the large out ring top right, it takes ages to come on. When you wipe it down , it locks , another 8 seconds of pressing a button to unlock. We were advised by the sales person that this would fit any pre fitted area , as the diameter was the smallest, it didn't so we had to cough up another $100 to have the area made bigger - not happy!

Not happy
28 April 2021

Not happy with the unit. The dual hotplate only worked intermittently at first and now will not work at all. Only 4 weeks old. Bing Lee is looking it to it for us so hope they will get to it quickly??

This is a wonderful cooktop to use everyday. The price point is great value for the product. This looks very clean, sleek and modern and is easy to keep clean as it is all one surface and no spills can get caught under nobs. I would recommend this product to update a kitchen.

Spacious cooktop
9 April 2020

I love our new cooktop. It has a lock feature which helps when you are cleaning it or have lots of pans cooking. The thing I like the best is the amount of space it has so I can use larger fry pans (such as my chefs pan) and saucepans at once. The glass has already stained from the heat but that is to be expected from ceramic cooktops. Overall we are very happy.

difficult to learn how to use
20 December 2022

The Omega OCC70TZ fits perfectly into our current kitchen benchtop. We are struggling to learn how to use it- we are burning things and the glass surface already looks cloudy even while cleaning it with the recommended products It is hard to know where to get help.
