Tried NOW probiotics because it cost less than other brands. That is a chancy thing to do because there are other less expensive brands that do not work. Took it for 2 months and had excellent results. That was probably 3 years ago. Have since then checked online to discover that NOW brand probiotics are considered 1 of the top 5 brands in this field. I'm obviously happy with my purchase, but know you have to be religious about using this product every day. Also I have my own weird notion that something that is suppose to be alive cannot be made into a pill. Capsules are fine. All live powder should be kept refrigerated. I use the powder because you get more for your money.

I've used this for probiotic face mask. I put in my mask honey, green clay, argan oil and empty one probiotic capsule. Then I add only a little bit of water to have perfect texture of face mask. Then I let it sit on my face 20 minutes and wash away. Probiotic cosmetics is very expensive, but this diy-face mask isn't. I use this face mask 1-2 times/week and many people have spontaneously been complementing how beautiful skin I have. I have had acne (due to hormones) and now I need some anti-aging products. The quality of this probiotics is just perfect also for cosmetic use! The ingredient also have just those probiotics that studies have shown to be great for skincare! I will try this also for supplement.

I, and recently my wife, had suffered from heartburn. To reduce stomach acidity, our MDs put us on a long term Nexium ppi medication. At first, it did help.Later, the heartburn returned. By reading, I have learnt that reduction of stomach acidity gives rise to bacteria which generate gases and those gases are pushing up stomach acid residues which re-initiate heartburn even though one continues taking PPI drugs! Moreover, low stomach acid caused inefficient absorption of magnesium , zinc, B-12 vitamin and other minerals, by the digestion system! So we have decided to move beyond PPI drugs. It wasn't easy... I travel for work and thought adding a probiotic would help with what I call "traveler's tummy", with all the flights, eating out, sleeping in new places, etc. I saw that this brand doesn't actually need to be kept refrigerated (though it says so on the bottle), which for my lifestyle would be impossible. I did check to make sure the cultures are active by putting some in a small glass of milk and letting it sit out. I'm not sure I'll buy this brand again since I'm not noticing any results. I might try the same mixture/ concentration from another brand to see if there's a difference.
