I have purchased several of these. They have lasted for years, and they are nice, in general, for charging 1.2V AA and AAA, or others, as well as 3.7V lithium types. Each charging slot works independently, to charge one battery, two, three, or four. The recharging speed is not bad, and does not make the batteries overly warm. A recently purchased charger of this type was defective, burning out overnight, but the seller made good on that. I would buy more of these, any time I need a charger that can handle 3.7V as well as 1.2V, which is my norm.

Didn't buy it from here. It was a gift to me maybe about a year ago. Has been my only charging dock I need and I recommend it to everyone in the market for a reliable charging dock. For as long as I can remember I've used this charger so I could've 100% had it for more then a year. It's still running strong and is probably the most simple and reliable charging dock I've ever seen. 100% recommend.

All the reviews listed for the Trustfire Smart Charger are also the EXACT same reviews as the Nitecore I4 IntelliCharger 2016 sold on E-Bay by seller name "themaster-liquid". Word for word and in the same order. And each product showing 311 reviews when I wrote this. Many TrustFire reviews even repeatedly mention the Nitecore I4 IntelliCharger as the product in review. What gives? I'm sensing a major scam here or formatting error in the E-Bay reviews programming. I came here to read reviews on the Trustfire Smart Charger. Not re-read reviews on the Nitecore I4 IntelliCharger 2016. Guess I won't be purchasing any charger on E-Bay currently.

Had the old version and it was perfect. Wore it out after several years of hard use. Purchase the new version. Trying to charge new rechargeable batteries, only got one light after 1.5 hours and charger got really hot. Called company and they were awesome! Sent me a new charger. If you just put batteries in charger, (multiple different brands tried), no connection. Have to lift battery and fiddle with it to make connection. About half the time they’ll charge. Otherwise, only one light for hours and no charge. Have to monitor, fiddle, reposition, etc. not reliable at all.
The charger works very well charging 18650 batteries. I tried letting it attempt to charge known defective AA'S. The set of AA' still reports error on two other smart chargers. Known defective AA's reported and charged okay with the new i4, charger. AA batteries still report error on the other two smart chargers Still a good value. Only 4 stars because of known as compared with two other smart chargers. New i4 would have received 5 stars if it did recognize the defective AA's as being defective. Update this charger does not hold C,D batteries very well, in fact it will only charge 3 C cells or 2 D cells at the same time. Send a little more money for a charger that can handle 4 C or D batteries. Works very well charging 18650 and most AA's

An important thing about charging the NiMh batteries is that each battery needs to be charged in an individually controlled slot. Many people do not like therechargable batteries because they use poor chargers and don't keep the batteries updated. They will pay too much for disposable Alkaline batteries when properly maintained Nimh batteries would save them a lot of money in the long run.
I had bad results from the 2 bay and this 4 bay from Nitecore. It got super hot. Started smoking. It’s made out of cheap lightweight plastic. Looked and felt cheap. I was excited cuz I heard such good things about nitecore. I had much better results with Hohm chargers. Effect chargers and I just got an XTAR charger I’m trying out now that’s so far been really nice. I like the way NiteCore sounded like it was gonna be but it did not live up close to the hype. Highly disappointed. Real is real. Elemant Vape is amazing tho and the packages get to the east coast from the west Coast in 2-3 business days. I can’t even believe how quick. Thank you Elemant! Before I bought the charger I have watched several videos/reviews about it, but after having it I must say it is even better than I expected. And also I learned how to use it very quickly (using two buttons and understanding the charging rates at different scenarios etc.), was easier than I tought previously from watching the videos. I have charged both Li-ion batteries (4x 18650 LG 3000mah) and Ni-MH (11x AAA 900-950mah) and it charged both fast, evenly and withouth heating them or anything. The batteries I charged were all good, I didn't try to charge any bad quality batteries. It detects the battery type and charged capacity very quickly and accurately (about 2 seconds after you insert the battery). When set to 4.20volts, you're lucky to get the battery up to 4.15V The one feature I bought this for was to charge to 4.35V. Forget it. You have to manually toggle the C and V buttons to set 4.35V for each battery each time separately. When set for 4.35V, this example of cheap Asian corner cutting barely gets up to 4.25V, and only sometimes in some of the bays which I still haven't been able to figure out. The first bay never gives more than 4.20 no matter what I settings I make. Nitecore seems to use the battery itself as a current limiter, instead of a true current and load sensing circuit that will charge the battery to its full available capacity. My other chargers are several Opus and Luc6. Those examples of the high quality products that can come out of reputable Chinese makers, charge to the full specified voltages, at an honest 2A or 1 A or 2/3A charging current depending on the settings. The Opus charges to an honest 4.35V when you flip the switch on the circuit board for 4.35V charging.
