The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 3 EK Eliud Kipchoge Paris 5K is part of a collaboration between Nike and Eliud Kipchoge, a Kenyan distance runner known for his dedication to the sport. The shoe’s design was inspired by Kipchoge’s belief that there are no limitations. This is evident in the shape of the sole, which extends beyond the heel, and in the technology incorporated into the shoe. The midsole extends beyond the heel to reduce impact strain on the inside of the foot. The Nike ZoomX provides bouncy cushioning, while the carbon fiber flyplate offers a stiff base that propels the runner forward. The running shoe also features extra cushioning on the heel and seams that do not rub on the foot. The red stripe that goes through the Swoosh on the side panel is a favorite among our experts. The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 3 EK Eliud Kipchoge Paris 5K was released on August 31, 2023, and retailed at $250.
