Netgear GS305EPP 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet High Power PoE+ Plus Switch
NETGEAR GS305EPP Managed L3 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Power over Ethernet (PoE) Black A switch is a device with which it is possible to connect computers into a (local area) network, provided your computers all have an appropriate networking device installed. Switches can be daisy chained to form larger networks and come in managed and unmanaged variaties. The unmanaged versions generally cannot filter data and will forward any data that is fed into them, so they are better suited for small networks. Switches are easy to set up (just plug in the network cables) and allow you to share printers, storage space and other network resources with your entire home or office network.

Bought this to power a PoE camera (Reolink RLC-823A), and anything else in the future. The specs don't indicate the PoE voltage, however it appears to be 48V which works fine for my gear. In hind-sight, the 8 port model would have been better future proofing, but never mind. It worked right out of the box, no config needed.

Just what we needed it was delivered on time ! Easy purchase !
This fit's my need perfectly, very easy to setup and install. I'm using it as an extension to my home network to add 4 more POE cameras to my system. As always, B&H provided good service and shipping speed.
I bought 2 of these. If you plug a poe camera, you won't see speed problem. Or PCs with Gb/s nic, it' ok. I have an open ticket with Netgear for a month now. They do take care of it. It's been escalated to engineer 10 days ago. So far , no news. I'll update when i have more info to share. As december 12 , not much has happened. Still waiting. As december 28, Netgear asked me a couple of tests. And they suggested that because of one hop , it's "normal" to loose speed ( half of what it's supposed, come on).
great deal
