Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine by Breville, 5 Cups, Black

Old trusty! I’ve had and been using this Nespresso, daily, since 2016! EIGHT years. It amazes me it still works perfectly. It still looks great and contemporary/modern. The durability and the fact that this machine has not stopped working (like so many brands that are designed to quit working so you’re forced to replace them) confirms it was a great investment and clearly made with quality materials. Easy to wipe down the chrome with either glass cleaner or a microfiber towel without streaks or residue left behind like on many stainless/chrome kitchen appliances that get a film from certain types of cleaners. Goodbye, Starbucks! I can safely say that I prefer making my coffee drinks at home now with my Nespresso Vertuo. This was really the best investment ever, because it makes the most amazing coffee, I truly like it better than any coffee chain. If you love lattes, iced coffee or just espresso, this machine is for you! The machine itself is fairly compact and doesn’t take up a ton of room on my cute coffee bar. I’m the only one in my house to drink coffee so a single brew machine is an essential. Used to have a Keurig for years but my coffee game has dramatically changed now that I own a Nespresso vertuo. This beautiful machine brews drip coffee AND espresso, actual espresso not the concentrated coffee that the Keurig can do. The coffee itself tastes so much better than a Keurig, it’s full flavored, not bitter, not watered down. Nespresso doesn’t let anyone make capsules for them, they find quality coffee and ensure it’s going to be delicious. They’ll also send you free bags to send your used capsules back in for recycling. I didn’t have another problem with it but it was nice to have that piece of mind. I recommend the Nespresso to anyone looking to get or replace a Keurig.

I have made coffee with drip makers, percolators, pour-overs, French press and the highest end home espresso machines. The best “bang for the buck” (return on time and $) accounting for taste, initial cost, recurring cost (pods), daily cleaning, periodic cleaning, easy of use, time to brew coffee….is the Nespresso Vertuo Plus. I love the quality of the coffee with the crema on top and the variety of coffee recipes that can be created when paired with the milk heater/frother. Amazon has a great price for the Vertuo Plus and Milk Frother bundle. The only down side is perhaps I should have gone for the Vertuo Next model which can use the larger 18 oz pods for when serving guests. A good choice with caveats

I bought this machine for convenience - both mine and our guests. The Vertuo system is very versatile when it comes to how you prefer your coffee. I prefer strong, espresso based drinks, especially americanos. Most of my family prefers normal drip coffee, which us less strong. We really like the mouth feel of the coffee the machine makes (lots of crema) for all coffee pods. The biggest issues for the machine are (1) the limited suppliers of Vertuo pods (these are different than the original Nespresso pods, which have many suppliers), and (2) the temperature of coffee that it makes, but if you pre-heat your mug with some hot water before you make the coffee, it will be fine. Beautiful and quality build Nespresso machine

Bought this machine when it was on sale 40% off and it was an amazing deal. I have had it for couple of weeks now and I enjoyed every second of owning it. Nespresso is 100 times better quality machine build and has way better tasting coffee than Keurig machines. I have also had 3 different Keurigs that kept breaking on me within couple of months or so. From all the reviews I have seen online Nespresso virtuo roundhead machine has excellent reviews and no quality build issues which is why I choose it over other Nespresso virtuo machines. Comparing Keurig and Nespresso is like comparing a Honda Civic to a G-Wagon. Simply no comparison in my opinion. This machine is very fast to heat up and not too loud either. Customer Service

I chose WS when I needed a new coffee maker rather than the on-line retailer that begins with an "A" based on past excellent customer service. Sadly, customer service was lacking from beginning to end of my purchase. The first coffee maker, well over $200, arrived used; torn up box, poor packing, 2 missing coffee capsules and evidence that coffee had been brewed. Call to WS with the item set for return and replacement. The return process required me to box up the item and drive it to a UPS location; then wait for the return to be processed and the replacement item then shipped. How is this remotely customer service? I paid for a new coffee maker, and was sent a used one; this was WS's fail and I should not have been inconvenienced. She did process the credit and ultimately the coffee maker arrived, but this was a terrible experience and really made me question doing business with WS.

Great but only 1 thing stopping 5 stars, Breville for some reason with their coffee machines can never have truly hot coffee. Coffee is more lukewarm, wish that Breville would make a smart screen or a basic setting of 1:Medium 2:Hot 3:Extra hot (use caution) Seriously I just switched from original Nespresso pods with my Breville espresso machine to the Vertuo line and both issues- need to microwave the coffee- come on people please make your machines make hotter coffee. I’ll sign a waiver so I can’t Sue if my coffee is too DARN hot, I just got my machine and I had to microwave my coffee. The bonus is the machine works well aside from the heat of the coffee and is quiet - nice to look at- easy to remove the side reservoirs. Just needs to be hotter. Parts are a nightmare to find. Water tank cracked

the water tank cracked after warranty (the wife dropped it but is now usable as a single serving water tank. I have been trying to find only a replacement water tank. Can not find any part replacements on Nespresso.com, Amazon has overpriced replacement tanks $70+ for a $10 part and EBay only has used water tanks. No parts list available in Vertuo manual or on the part itself. The water tank should at least be durable to support being dropped and not crack like the acrylic that is currently being used. Lost 2 points here since no parts list and cheap materials being used. After a while, the spinning action of the vertuo cups goes off balanced and makes a vibrating sound. The coffee from this concept is actually good. The price for this unit should not be more than $60 since the inside where the hot coffee is dripping down is entirely made of plastic. -1 point for plastic hot coffee drip channel. I sure hope they will upgrade to stainless stain drip channel instead with no plastic parts touching the hot coffee (remember microplastics gets leeched into the coffee). for any units over $150, it should have all stainless steel hot coffee channel to drip into the cup. For your health and safety, consider the all metal models.Vertuo cup lids should not be plastic as well. It should be aluminum instead.

Wow, I’ve been missing out!

No wonder I have seen these in every B%26B and hotel I’ve stayed at in the UK. Coffee tastes so much better with the Nespresso versus the Keurig. I mean it is a huge difference. I definitely recommend if you are a coffee snob like me lol. I wish the pods were more affordable, but I buy the pods on Amazon and Nespresso’s website. I wish Walmart had more pods to choose from but the Starbucks pods actually are really good and I am not a Starbucks fan. The air Chino works great to heat up my oat milk or almond milk and I add regular creamer with flavor in it as well. I like my coffee really hot so I usually have to microwave it a little bit after mixing it. This would make a great gift for someone who loves lattes or espresso.
