Nerf N-Strike Elite Disruptor Blaster

Not for 7 or 8 year olds. Very difficult to pull back. I bought 8 of these guns for my daughter’s 8th birthday party so her friends could all play. I will be returning and get guns either motorized or ones that have a two finger pull back. This gun is also too hard for grandma and grandpa. Also if u hold gun with right hand it hits your thumb knuckle and will make a blister or raw spot. So use a bunnion pad and adhere where your knuckle hits. Im guessing that may work. Silicone gel or felt pad. This gun shoots really far and would be great for teenagers. Good price

Distrupter fits for many people!

We have a bunch of these and we routinely use them for our Nerf battles and even make sure at least a couple are available to guests when they came over. The price is great, they've been reliable, and aren't too difficult for most kids to use. I would say anyone under 6 might have trouble charging this blaster, and even more so for 4 and 5 year olds, but that's Nerf in general and these are recommended for ages 8 and up. If you want multiple shots, easy load, easy charge and super affordable, this is an ideal and fun blaster to have.

GREAT FUN FOR ADULT "KIDS" TOO

I thought of Nerf because of previous purchases many, many years ago, and then I saw the funny review by the husband where he and his wife were "battling" it out with them and he had taken refuge in his bathroom (Great Review!) Let me tell you, These are FUN!!! I got these as a joke gift for my two 30-something year-old sons and they had a blast, as well as my husband and I when we got a chance to try them. They shoot really far with a lot of force, but if you shoot someone right next to you, it doesn't hurt??? Hard to believe when you see them literally shoot through the air for at least 40 feet. I told my sons, I'm going to buy one to shoot down any drones that the neighbors' kids may start flying over our house ; ). We also bought extra ammo. Lots of fun.

Great fun

More like a 30 feet range rather than the advertised 'up to 90 feet' but adaquate for my small garden and great fun without any fear of being hit by these soft bullets. It needs a certain amount of grip and strength to cock ready for firing, and you have to re-cock for each bullet which slows the firing rate. Lightweight, colourful, though rather large and bulky, it is not a weapon for creeping up on your adversary - more a 'High Noon' shoot out. It seems to be quite solid and substantial but I don't think it would survive being dropped from a significant height.

I have a confession...

I am an adult. The local kids looked like they were having fun with these... I was right, they were. Now so am I... My friends are getting used to the fact I now have nerf guns strategically placed around the house. Ready, locked and loaded at all times... Heck they even manage to find one every now and then to fight back with! Its bedlam, its chaos, its just plain awesome.Postage, packing etc all great. Arrived as promised. Although I don't look like Angelina Jolie while I run around shooting random visitors/ targets...I have put age of child as 8+. Truth is the child is 40+... So highly recommended for anyone suffering from a midlife crisis as well as children, middle aged brothers etc...

It's ok but could be better

First off with it being nerf I would expect more shot accuracy! Second the really have no attachments worth getting for the elite! I know they have the modulous system and all but the elite should have elite upgrade system!shots fire far to the right one one and random on the second one I bought tonight. Pretty tough to pull the pump even for me I have trouble at full combat speed. Would be almost impossible to to dual wield with these as it is hard to load unless a sling was used! They look super cool but would be impractical in a nerf firefight competition! All in all not bad just expect more from nerf!!!

Shipping problems

Surprisingly, the nerf guns look ok. The box was poorly packaged for shipping. It looked like it was shipped in a torn black plastic trash bag. The nerf gun box was ripped in 4 places. That is not how I want my Christmas presents to look. It first was scheduled to arrive on Thursday, Dec. 17, then delayed to Monday, Dec. 21, and finally arrived a week later on Monday, Dec. 28, 3 days after Christmas. This review is more about the shipping than the product itself.

Updating a Classic

The Disruptor is basically the Strongarm, updated for 2018. Functionally, it's almost entirely the same as the Strongarm, but with a couple cosmetic changes. Its performance matches the Strongarm, but the new design uses slightly less plastic and is simpler to reload, omitting the side-swinging cylinder for a more direct reload. In practice, it'll be slightly faster to reload than the Strongarm, so I would recommend the Disruptor if you don't have the Strongarm, but if you already have the Strongarm, it's probably not worthwhile to replace it.At its price, the Strongarm is a great buy for some quick foam-flinging fun. fun nerf gun for <$10

I got 2 of these as last minute Christmas present additions for my kids. Compared to the other nerf guns, this one seems to be the best bang for the buck. Six shots before you have to reload and fairly consistent accuracy for <$10. And not too big.I quickly designated them as outdoor toys and keep them in the garage to eliminate temptation. My kids had a blast with these in the backyard. My 6 y/o daughter had a little trouble cocking hers, but got the hang of it. It helps to hold your trigger arm straight out and use your other arm to pull the slide all the way back until you hear it click. It would be cool if the cocking mechanism was under the gun like a pump-action instead of on top. This would allow for more rapid fire. The darts do not have much kinetic energy on impact and are blunt, but it still probably wouldn't feel good to catch one in the eye.
