Brilliant razor. Lovely balance. Using it with my old Atlas blades which are fine. Yet to try the Mühle one that came with it. Would recommend this to anyone. Newbie or experienced DE shaver.

I've shaved with the R89 5 or 6 times so far, and it provides an excellent, medium aggressive, smooth shave. I would have used it more but I rotate several razors including doing straight razor shaves. I use Astra Green, Shark Super chrome, and Personna white wrapper blades in the R89, and I have no irritation, no nicks, and no cuts. If you're looking for one go-to daily razor, the black chrome R89 would be perfect.

My first foray into executive shaving, with this beginners razor. I did think it would be a closer shave than it is, though. Anyway, I am enjoying using it and all the products.
This is my first safety razor as I wanted to be more environmentally friendly with my shaving products and I have never really gotten on with electric razors. I was really impressed with the build quality of this razor and once you quickly get used to the shaving technique, it gives a close shave and its nice to use.
