Excellent phone - Good battery life for the price

I've had MOTO G phones since 2015 and always found them to be good value for money.I bought the G10 for my Sister who's previous phone (MOTO G5) had experienced a speaker fail - hardly surprisingly since she was using it duolingo German videos, BBC sounds and 101 other sound apps.4GB ram means you can install a fair few apps/I think the MOTO G range is one of the best phone types in the £100- 200 price range.Added benefit of buying it from John Lewis - I get free delivery to my local Waitrose for pick up.

Bought this to replace a G5S so it's basically the same with a larger screen. Was pleasantly surprised when it arrived complete with a Gel Case. Thankfully someone set it up for me. Easy to use although I did find a problem with the bar at the bottom of the screen instead of the usual symbols. Had to Google how to sort that out - Gestures.The.Camera has lots of features which I don't use but I'm sure those who are into Selfies would. The battery seems to last a good two days but I don't use my phone a lot. My only gripe is there is no facility to install a Compass App.

I've been listening to audio on my headphones for a good few hours a day and the phone battery still last for days without being anyway near low.

There's not much to dislike with this phone but if you read any tech geeks reviews you could be put off- ignore them, this is a great feature packed phone at an equally great price.I've had this phone just a few days now, a replacement for my old G6 Play which suddenly developed a fault that made the screen go blank but otherwise still worked. It wasn't worth paying for a repair (likely to be either graphics card or screen I was told) so it's a warm welcome to my G10. Already i'm navigating around pretty easily but as another review pointed out when web browsing, unless your're in the know finding the 'back' button can be confusing. This may therefore be useful for those who prefer the traditional buttons rather than swipe gestures: Go to settings - system navigation - tick the 3 button navigation option and the traditional buttons will appear at the bottom of your screen. So in summary, a very good phone for the price and all backed up by the J.L. extra years guarantee. I'd have given it 5 stars, and this is admittedly being picky but the screen is even bigger than my old phone and so far less pocket friendly, plus it would be helpful for oldies like me if the browser navigation was set to '3 buttons' mode by default.

Really easy purchase from JL - click and collect arrived earlier than it should have too and simple check in process so it was waiting in Waitrose for me when I arrived within 15mins. Can't ask for any thing more. Great product. Having bought one for our daughter recently, when mine got damaged I went straight to this. It's one of few new products released this year, and even after Lockdowns and issues that's brough JL has stock of a good budget mobile ! Well done JL - you've made it so easy. :)

This is my second Motorola, both are great value, both have great battery life. This one is a little larger, the camera optons are better & it's running Android 11. Android 11 by default does not have the back arrow, opened Apps or home button, which is a problem for navigation, Google want you to use gestures, I like buttons. You are able to revert to the bottom menu of buttons, but it is deep in the settings menu. (Google it). Also, the location setting (GPS) is on by default and there is no on/off button in the top drop down menu, you have to edit the menu & add it. At the price it is a great valuefast charging phone

Screen broke after falling out of pocket only once
14 December 2021

I previously had the Motorola G9 and was happy with it except the turbo charge stopped working. took back to store and was given a new charger. now I bought the G10 and loved it til today when it fell out of my pocket at the post office no less, not on the street or anything. the screen is cracked like fine shards and now features don't work. I will be taking back to Officeworks for replacement. where is the gorilla Glass ? why didn't they offer or suggest a screen protector at the point of sale ? I love all the other points of this phone and it suits me but this needs to be sorted out. come on moto..don't lose loyal customers please. Officeworks please do the right thing and replace this phone which isn't even 3 months old. thankyou

Before I bought this phone I checked out a number of reviews and was a little unsure if I should purchase it because some were not too positive (but not altogehter negative). First thing you need to realise is that this is not an expensive phone so you have to look at the phone with that in mind. This is my 3rd of 4th Moto G so I am you can tell in general I am sold of this phone. I have had it over a week and I must say it is the best version so far. It has a number of things I like such as gestures which mean you can shake it and the camera will come on. Karate chop it and the light will come one. Also simple things like setting the phone face down and it will stop notifications, finger print opening, face recognition.Slight negative it does not turbo charge as ... MoreBefore I bought this phone I checked out a number of reviews and was a little unsure if I should purchase it because some were not too positive (but not altogehter negative).
