Extremely good product for all types of heavy cleaning beyond just tires. Will get white tennis shoes back to their original color.

Easy cleaner

I used the Mothers wheel cleaner on my Honda Civic rims. I took before and after pics. I decided to use a microfiber towel to buff the wheels after the application. I think the wheel cleaner does well. I sprayed it on my rims per instructions, while the rims were dry, waited a couple minutes and sprayed with water. I think the cleaner is better than soap and water alone.

MOTHERS aluminum wheel cleaner! A must have for any car detailer

Been using this product for awhile now and its basically spray and wipe and then rinse it off! Its gentle enough to not damage any wheel surface including coated and uncoated and polished aluminum wheels. Like most cleaners dont forget to shake the bottle to make sure its throughly mixed. Inuse this on all my cars and i detail cars as a hobby and this is my go to wheel cleaner!

Mother Aluminum Wheel Cleaner

Mothers has always been a great product to use, and this aluminum wheel cleaner gets the job done. Spray on and let set for a minute or two and simply wash away the brake dust and any other debree. It easily cleaned my chrome wheels to a nice polished shine. I would certainly recommend using this wheel cleaner if you want to use a product that easily cleans your wheels.

Nice Wheel Cleaner

Super easy to use wheel cleaner spray. I doused the wheel with the sprayer. The bottle has a nice pump sprayer that easily and consistently covers the wheel with a few sprays. I went a little overboard and made sure the wheel was soaked. I also followed the directions and went to the next wheel, allowing the cleaner to work on it's own for three minutes. When I returned to the wheel, I hosed it off completely and then dried as normal.The result was a completely new looking wheel with luster and shine I have not seen in years (the pics are of a 2014 vehicle).

Nice clean up for light to moderate brake dust, requires some scrubbing.

Product was used on a Lexus with painted wheels, and a RAM with clear coated aluminum wheels. Although the product is advertised for “uncoated” aluminum wheels, the instructions on the back state it can be used on coated and painted wheels. First let me say spray on, wash off rarely does the job. In both cases using a light bristle brush was necessary to do a good job. The Lexus (my son’s) was heavily coated (5 years worth) of brake dust and two applications removed 50% of the residue. For the RAM which had light brake residue one application with a light brushing did the trick nicely. Warning: use a mask when using… distinct toxic odor and will burn eyes.

While letting the solution soak, I pulled the water hose out.Before hosing down the wheel, I noticed the dirt on some of the unpainted aluminum surface had already come off and was dripping down with the solution. Using a high pressure nozzle attachment, I started hosing down the 1st wheel.Some areas of the wheel needed more work. Using more solution and an old sock, it was still hard to get some of the grim off. It wasn’t tar, but reminded me of dried up oil that had become gummy. Tried a few more time, but eventually gave up. A stronger cleaner will be needed to remove the gummy residue.There was still a slight amount of dirt left on the uncoated aluminum surface. On the painted surface of the wheel, there was still a lot of dirt left. The product wasn’t meant for cleaning painted surfaces on the wheel, but I was hoping it would help remove some of the dirt.The product works as advertised. It’ll clean uncoated parts of aluminum wheels that is covered with break & road dust, with minimal effort. Anything else, like tar or oil, will require more effort to clean.Personally, I wouldn’t buy this product, because parts of my wheels are painted. To get the wheels clean, I would still have to get my fingers into the tight areas of the wheels. Occasionally have to use a soft scrub brush & stronger cleaner for tougher spots & where there is a buildup of dirt & grim.

Useless

Product is useless. Doesn’t spray, just squirts foam out. When hosed off still needs to be brush cleaned so why spend $30. Used once and not enough left to do a second clean. Save your money and use a brush and detergent.

Works really well, without damage.

I have used this product several times to do a full strip down clean on BBS three piece alloy rims, before getting new tyres. It really dissolves heavy brake dust caked onto the inside of the rims.

Wow! Quick and minimal effort needed…

This is an 11 year old car that has quite a few miles on it. It gets driven on the interstate to and from work. It’s a nasty drive and the wheels get very dirty. If you look at the before pictures, you will see caked on grime. They were probably cleaned 5 months ago. I hate cleaning them because I have to get on a stool and scrub them. Meaning I have to get a brush and go into each crevice. It’s time-consuming and hard on my hands. Using Mother’s cleaner knocked out the detail work I usually have to put into the job. The wheels look like they do when I take 5-10 minutes scrubbing just one. Mother’s does leave a nice shine on the wheels. If you don’t have caked on grime like me, I would bet this will take all the dirt off with just spraying on and jet rinsing it off. I have only used 1 other wheel cleaner in the past. It was no where near as effective as this spray. There is some type of dissolvent in this cleaner that cuts through the grime better than most.
