I think the one I got may be defective. The ball will not stay closed, and it will not open when launched. We have tried refolding the parachute according to the directions many times, but we can not get the ball to stay closed even when nothing is inside. Also, the rubber band part used to launch the toy is very hard to pull back. Neither my eight year old daughter or I could do it. My husband was able to, but none of us could get the toy to work correctly. It’s a very cute idea, but we have not been able to make it work for us.

After 1-3 times they no longer work, it’s impossible to get them rolled up correctly (especially for children) for it to open up and float after u throw it. And it littler injured me a few times using the band to try and shoot it that I didn’t give it to the kids at all. We got it for Easter so it was too late to return them. But huge waste of money as they don’t work

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerend, but I wanted to give a chance myself. After a few tries I was able to get the hang of packing the shoot and and launching it. It soon became a great little game with me and my son taking turns shooting it and chasing it. I would highly recommend this for a day at the beach, at a park, or just get a little break from the iPad.

I was looking for a new game before a recent friends gathering outdoors and found this at Target. It was a success! The kids (7 to 12) spent a good amount of time launching the parachute or running around to be the first to catch it. Some grown-ups took part of the fun too. I think it’s a great outdoor game for all ages and it will definitively be played with again!
I purchased this fun outdoorsy game from Target last week and I absolutely loved it!!! It was a mega hit at my daughter, Janet's 10th birthday party. My lil Janet loves hot air balloons and pretty much anything that floats in the sky. So when I saw this game at target I knew I had to get it. She was so excited when she unwrapped this!! I was also looking for games that her friends and she could play outside in our backyard. I was really hoping to have the kids stay out of the house as much as possible...if you know what I mean! haha No mother likes clean'in up after a huge birthday bash. All the kids loved it and it really lauched high up in the sky! It was so much fun to see the little ones taking turns to launch the balls and wait in anticipation of the paracute ... It was so much fun to see the little ones taking turns to launch the balls and wait in anticipation of the paracute opening and then racing to see who catches it first! Oh golly, this game is definitely a keeper for our family party events for sure! I am 100% getting a few more of these.
I really wanted to love this toy, as it is a really fun concept of a repeated parachute launcher. Sadly, for us, the first few attempts at playing with my 9 year old didn't launch high enough for the parachute to really open, and when he pulled back a little further for more launch, the elastic band snapped, and doesn't have a way to reattach it. We got maybe 5 minutes if play out of it, before it broke. I would have given a lower rating normally, however, I feel with some improvements to the band (either a way to reattach, or a different design that doesn't fail) would really make this product shine. Sadly for us, not much enjoyment was had.
This is one of those toys where you just have to look at the instructions on how to fold the parachute into the ball. I also experienced frustration of having it open and no parachute deployed... and then I looked at the manual of how to pack it and haven't had an issue since. This is GREAT and much more enjoyable than Djubi's other product which requires a ton of athletic ability and eye coordination that can't be expected of someone under 8. The Parashoot though... is awesome. Just make sure your kids don't run into each other trying to catch it :)
I really had high hopes for this toy but it ended up being a disappointment. At first glance you would think this is a well made mechanism. It has a spring trap that holds the parachute into the ball while you shoot it. It's supposed to pop open in the air and the parachute glides it down. Unfortunately no matter how high we shot it, no matter how we folded the parachute it never worked. Either the ball wouldn't open or the parachute never opened. I give it 2 stars because it is well made.
I was really hopeful this would work because it would be great to keep in the car for when we go to the park during the summer, but it was really disappointing and only worked right maybe 1 out of every 10 launches (and that was when I, an adult, was using it- my kids fared even worse when they tried). The launcher is fine, it's the ball and parachute that just don't do what they're supposed to. The mechanism that causes the ball to open in the sky never does the same thing twice, and the parachute is *just* too big to fit into the ball properly, no matter how perfectly you fold it up. Most of the time it just never opened in the air. It's just not great.
