The laptop I have currently is actually the laptop microsoft sent me as a warranty replacement because the display just went out. I didnt drop it or spill water, I was just watching a youtube video and a green line just appeared across the display. They were quick to send out a repair which I like but now this replacements touch pad no longer responds to force clicks and I had to switch the settings to respond to tap so I can continue to use it. It still works great other wise. I may have just gotten unlucky both times but when this track pad bits the dust I will be switching brands unfortunately

So far its been a great journey. However, one thing i will say is that when you are super multitasking, and i mean on a docking station with 3 monitors extended and grinding for an hour or 2, you will hear the fan! Otherwise, when used as a school laptop by itself to do normal stuff its very reliable and good with 4k video. I do however, wish i would of gotten the metal version rather than the mat, since the mat eventually becomes worn from the sides or leaves hand prints.

This laptop is great. For only 8GB of RAM it runs really smoothly and fast.I originally wanted a MacBook Pro but I decided on this because it was on sale, and I am not at all disappointed. It is a beautiful, lightweight and powerful machine. And it arrived very quickly, which is always a bonus.It's not the best if you're trying to run heavy duty games, but I play a lot of games on Steam and so far it runs great. For what I need it for; Zoom classes, lesson planning, graphic designing... it it is awesome! Not to mention the display is magnificent and really clear.

And nowadays, you can find a little device that plugs in to 3.5mm headphone jacks that has bluetooth on it, enabling you to turn almost anything into a bluetooth speaker. I just say that because it used to be a deal breaker for me if the speakers didn't have bluetooth. And they aren't very expensive. Surely if you can afford these, that shouldn't be a problem. Unless you're like me, and were only able to get these speakers thanks to financing through Klarna. Which, good move by you guys, in partnering with Klarna. I have tried 4 different Logitech mice on this and none work. They will only work intermittently, stopping after 20 minutes or so and then doing nothing. I do not know if it is because this was a refurbished unit and possibly that was the initial problem in the first place. At any rate it is ridiculous that a laptop cannot operate with a mouse. Very very very disappointed in this feature because I cannot use the built in mouse pad for my work. Total waste of money.
This is a terrible laptop. The key travel, screen, size all great. About my 11th month of ownership the screen errored(line across) Microsoft sent a replacement. The replacement had a software issues that would not allow the device to say connected to Wi-Fi! They sent me a new device, and new device just randomly reboots! After many phone calls, tech support steps my only option is to receive another new device. At this point I am trying to get a refund. If you have to the ability to save or wait I suggest another device possibly Apple. They are more expensive but I don't hear about these types of issues!

I ran a benchmark software and my older Surface Laptop 2 scored much higher than this AMD version. Also, I can never get Youtube to play 4k video without dropping frames. This is by far the worst laptop I have ever purchased. The first thing was that the pen stopped working after a couple of weeks, the line I was drawing kept jumping over the page and wasn't following the pen correctly. I quickly exchanged the pen for a new one. Secondly, the laptop kept saying it needs to install updates. It remained on the loading page for hours. I went back to the store and they gave me a brand new laptop. I've now had this laptop for just over a year and the same problem is occurring. It is super slow, Microsoft programs always say "not responding". Will be trying to return the laptop for store credit or a different laptop entirely. Please do not buy this laptop!
I am not a techie or any kind of computer genius. I asked my techie friend to help me find a computer within my financial parameters. He suggested this one and once it arrived he examined it, set it up for me and pronounced it an excellent deal. So I'm giving his review, not mine. I use it for personal stuff and it works fine. Lots of room on here and I'm happy with that. It is refurbished but it looks brand new...has that 'new car smell' to it. If I were to improve it I would say that these computers need to be in colors. This dull silver stuff is really boring, but I suppose they are a tool and not a work of art...more's the pity.
