This is incredibly disappointing. I love the design so I was extremely excited to receive this dock with my Quest 3. Sure it's a little expensive but it's not the end of the world. Man was I disappointed to discover that it is NOT A USABLE PRODUCT OUT OF THE BOX. It comes with the dock and a usb-c to usb-c cable. You are required to provide your own charging brick and to get full speed charging it needs to be 45w. I have several of these laying around but I'm a weirdo. I don't think at this point in time most people will have a 45w usb-c charging brick laying around. So I'm deducting 2 stars for that.Moving beyond not providing all of the hardware required to actually use the device however.... it's great. It's super compact. It comes with rechargeable battery ... MoreThis is incredibly disappointing. I love the design so I was extremely excited to receive this dock with my Quest 3. It comes with rechargeable battery packs for the touch controllers. The headset and the controllers are super easy to to get docked correctly, especially the controllers since they don't have any contacts to line up or anything.I liked the dock but it's baffling that there is no charging brick included, especially at this price. I expect there will be third party options available on the market shortly for far less money that are complete products. For that reason I can't recommend the official Quest 3 charging dock.** I pre-ordered directly from Meta and did not purchase from Best Buy.

It is a good charging dock. Just make sure you lower down the elite strap arms if you have that one while putting it to charge, otherwise you'll have a hard time making it dock correctly, so it charges. It is very convenient and much better than other docks I have tried before. To those complaining about it not coming with the power brick. You ALREADY have one (The one that came with your Quest 3 and that's all you need). The only complaint I have about this device is the fact that the indicator LEDs in the front do not turn off once fully charged. I hate the fact that I need to go unplug the dock from the USB cable while charging it at night because the light is annoying in a dark room.

This docking does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. However, problems arise because now your quest cannot be accessorized with anything else. Front shields for the quest nope. It will not fit because how the quest sits on the doc. 3rd party knuckle covers for the controllers nope! Because of how it charges the controllers, you have to leave the controllers sleeveless nothing can cover them for it to charge on the dock. All you can do is put skins and stickers on the headset. If you don’t want any personalization on your quest or limited personalization this is a great charging dock. Oh and over priced for sure.

I figured since I needed a place to keep my Quest 3 and controllers organized I might as well buy the charging dock to keep them constantly charged as well. I will start off by saying yes this thing is stupidly expensive for just a charging dock but right now this is about the only option we have and I will say it's built well and very easy to just place your controllers and headset on the dock and they just start to charge without having to fiddle around trying to find the sweet spot to start charging.Despite what the other user posted on here the charging dock works with the Elite strap with the battery and the Controller straps as you can see in the included pictures. The charging dock comes with 2 wireless rechargeable batteries that you replace the original ... MoreI figured since I needed a place to keep my Quest 3 and controllers organized I might as well buy the charging dock to keep them constantly charged as well. Once you place the controllers or headset on the dock you will hear a noise from the dock letting you know they are charging and you will see a solid Yellow light letting you know it's charging and then turn solid Green when they are fully charged.Overall I'm pretty happy with the dock, it keeps everything organized on my desk and at a glance, I can see when everything is done charging to get back into VR, is it needed? No, especially at this price point but if you have the money and want an easy way to charge everything at once while having it look elegant then this is a great choice!
It's a convenient place to place my headset after every use. The lights are easy to spot and make knowing when it's done charging easy. It can be a bit finicky to get the headset sat on right to make it charge and I was worried the first few days mine may be faulty because of it. The package the box was in being halfway open with no safety packaging didn't help that... I've gotten better at getting it to charge on the first placement. The rechargeable batteries it comes with are amazing and I feel like my controllers never run out of juice. They always last longer than the headset and take less time to charge than the headset.
For $130, it's crazy that this doesn't come with a 45W power adapter. And on top of that, it doesn't work well with the elite battery strap. The instructions say to ensure the arms are straight but they actually need to be rotated past horizontal for the headset to make a connection to the dock, and even then it's not a great connection. And when you take the headset off the charger you now need to readjust the strap. Instead, I keep the strap arms where they fit my head and prop up the back of the headset on a box so the headset makes good contact with the charger. It works, but it's crazy that a $130 charger has such a poor design and no power brick. Hopefully a better 3rd party option will be available soon, but unfortunately I'll be stuck with this since I won't ... MoreFor $130, it's crazy that this doesn't come with a 45W power adapter. I purchased this to allow for ease of use. The longevity of it working is questionable. I purchased 1 and it stopped charging the headset after 3 weeks. The controllers continue to charge. The problem is the headset has to be in the right position to allow for the charging to happen. The landing connectivity (where the headset sits is too flexible where as after a while it loses the connection required to charge.I believe it is the right direction for the design and the assumed use ability, but I think it was rushed to market before really understanding the usability and durability.I will be returning my charging cradle.
3 stars for the concept of it. In reality, each controller has a certain side it has to be on and you have to remember that for proper charging. The headseat has to be flat on the dock to charge as the metal must be touching. That's probably easy with the standard strap, but as I was using the elite strap with battery, it was a wiggle and move up/down game. I saw it green for a moment, and walked back and saw the light was off. That's when I knew I had to return it. I'm not going to walk away thinking it's charging and be disappointed later. I opted for a standard stand instead, plugging the usb-c into the system is better than this dock.
I think I got a defective one. The battery for the right handed controller won't charge. However, the rest functions as intended. The left handed controller does very good. So I think the right one will also do good once I get it replaced. The charger only charges the headset and not the connected elite strap, but you can charge both at the same time without disconnecting anything. Which is better actually. The only other issue I have is that to charge the headset without disconnecting the elite strap you have to balance everything just right, which is a minor inconvenience.
I do not have a nice headstrap yet (waiting for BoboVR M3 to become available). So, I can only speak about the plain headset & controllers with Meta controller straps. It might take a little bit to get used to placing the controllers with straps on, but you get used to it pretty fast. This dock is easier to use than the Quest Pro one.Always having your devices charged and ready to go is so very nice. This also gives your Quest the opportunity to apply all updates as they come in while you aren't using it (so no waiting when you want to actually use your Quest). The dock is not cheap, but for me it is very worth it.
