Maxi/Guard Oral Cleaning Gel is easy to use and appears to help reduce gingivitis in our two cats. My objective is to avoid expensive and intrusive dental surgery (plaque removal and teeth extraction, if required). While one of the cats still has some gingivitis, neither has required dental surgery for a number of years. I assume that the Maxi/Guard, as well as the manual rubbing of the gums, has helped. I have been able to use an entire bottle this way and have only required one to two bottles per year for two cats.

I have a 13 year old Tabby cat who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about two years ago. Since then he's had teeth issue and has a couple of extractions.
