Music legends from Hank Williams to The Beatles have trusted the Martin D-28 as their go-to acoustic guitar, and it's easy to understand why this instrument has earned such legendary status. Crafted with East Indian rosewood, the D-28 produces remarkably resonant tones with deep bass response and rich overtones that make it perfectly suited to all playing styles. The guitar combines classic vintage appointments including open gear tuners, aged toner top, antique white accents, and faux tortoise pickguard with a contemporary neck profile that provides fast, comfortable playability. This thoughtful blend of traditional aesthetics and modern ergonomics has made the D-28 a well-balanced workhorse for countless musicians across genres. Martin has expanded beyond the traditional full gloss finish to offer two exciting new satin-finished options for the D-28. You can now select a full satin body finish (covering top, back, and sides) with either an ageing-toner top or an amberburst top, giving future music legends more choice to match their personal style and budget preferences.
