This is my second LTD and my first Eclipse model. I will definitely be buying some higher end Eclipse models in the future. I can't believe you can get something this good at this price point. The finish is not as glossy as I thought it would be, which is a huge bonus! Love the flatter black look! The setup was perfect out of the box. This is the first time I haven't immediately started adjusting a guitar as soon as I got it. I'm just blown away! I wish we would have had gear like this at this price when I started out decades ago.

I've been playing acoustic for a year so I decided that I wanted to buy an electric guitar. The worker at my local Sam Ash, Keith Harris, was very nice and helpful while showing me different guitars. Once I found the one I favored, I called Sam Ash the next day to place my order. The phone operator was a pleasure to talk to, super helpful, and patient. I absolutley love it! The guitar is great and I play it for hours every day! I reccomend this for a beginner/intermediate player.

15 years ago I had a LTD-M 50. I put dimarzio pickups in it and it rocked soo good. Bought this ltd-ec 10 hoping for something close to that and it sure was worth buying it. Super fast neck, jumbo frets are awesome. Baswood body has a beautiful tone to it. Maple skinny neck. I don't love the paint but it looks nice. Pickups are not great, thays why I bought a couple of dimarzio pickups. Also changed all the electronics. Got a tonepros tune-o-matic bridge. Planning on changing the tuners and nut as well. After those upgrades this guitar is gonna be sounding 3 times its actual price. Great buy for beginners and for more advanced players who like to build up guitars this is a good prospect for a project

Fantastic for the price. Looks much better in person. Like any guitar at any level, some setup is needed: frets are a little gritty, factory strings are junk, fretboard's a little dry. That said, I'd recommend this to anyone. The pickups are good, the pots are better than what you usually see at this price point, the neck is perfect, I'd buy this again and I'd certainly buy it before an Epiphone in this price point. A big thank you to Guitar Center Knoxville who apparently shipped mine out: it arrived extremely well protected.
I did not buy mine from MF, but I had to put in my opinion. I bought my EC-10 from some guy who posted it on an app. He had not taken very good care of it and the body had a lot of dings and chipped paint. The neck was still good and the hardware was solid. I stripped off all the paint and sanded out most of the dings, stained it and put a coat of shiny finish on it. Topped it off with a new set of EMGs (just my preference the stock pups were actually pretty nice). Now it is one of my favorite guitars to play and I wouldn't give it up for anything. If my used and abused old EC-10 can be this good, I can only imagine what a brand new one could be like. May be buying a new one in the near future.
I bought an LTD M10 about a year ago and love it so much that I bought an EC10 too, planning on slapping some humbucker-sized P90s in it for a different tone. Here's the details on how DIFFERENT these two guitars are, despite appearing more similar at first glance.- Headstock shape; just personal preference. I prefer the 3+3 design of the EC (functionally).- Scale length; the EC has a slightly shorter scale length (24.75" vs 25.5") than the M, making it somewhat easier to play, especially when performing wide stretches and chording. Bends are easier due to lower string tension. The longer scale of the M I believe contributes to superior tonal qualities.-The EC has a painted neck back to match the body. The M has a natural satin transparent finish. The M retains a strap better and sits "closer" (further right) due to the horn, providing easier lower fret access. The EC has no horn so it sits "further" out (further left), naturally guiding the left hand towards the middle of the neck.-The EC sounds beefier, but muddier. The M has clearer but a BIT thinner tone.-The M is made in China and the EC is made in Indonesia.Hope this helps you decide between the two.

The stock strings are 10's and are surprisingly bright, I think they use D'Addario and I left them on. There were some rough spots on the finish but only by the body where it bolts onto the neck. The body contour is like an SG meets a Les Paul. I would say this is head an shoulders above an Epiphone Les Paul Special II. Basically this is a great all around guitar with surprising tone and playability, but if you want something that is more for shredding, get the ESP LTD M-10. The EC-10 didn't need as much set up as the M-10. I say for the price, get both.

Knobs and switch seem solid so far. The pickups are even decent, nothing great, but better than I expected, honestly. If you don't like them the guitar is plenty worth dropping the pups of your choice in it.The paint job is nothing special. I can see the overlap of the spray on the back, like it could use another coat or two. But for a hundred smackers, who cares. And the front and neck look fine.Heavier than I expected for basswood, the body is fairly thick, like an LP. Upon opening the box the guitar came in I immediately spotted gouges on the fret board from frets nine through frets fourteen. The neck is twisted making it next to impossible to play. The Musician's Friend ad online stated the frets were extra-jumbo...they are not even close to that. They are low and thin and all sit on the neck differently. I took the guitar to Guitar Center to see if they could shed some light on the guitars flaws. The tech there stated that sometimes a bad piece of wood is used for a guitar's neck and that that was the case with mine. I'm a total newb not even gonna lie. This guitar has been a blast to play. Solid and no complaints. Pickups can't compare em to anything cuz I have entry level guitars. For price can't beat it. I can definitely see having this for a good while and enjoying it as well. I will say it's better than jackson js32.
