MoreI worked in beauty retail for more than seven years, and as such I have tried a lot of haircare products. Especially as someone who has grown my hair out countless times over the years. I was very impressed that this shampoo left my hair feeling softer as soon as I rinsed it out. The scent was a bit on the stronger perfumed side for my sensitive nose, but that’s a personal preference. Having tried both this and the Heavy Metals Detox line also from L’Oréal, I would say I was able to handle this scent better (it isn’t quite as strong).I loved the texture of this shampoo, it starts off as a creamy shampoo that lathers up really well. Some lathering shampoos can be stripping, but I didn’t find this one to be at all, which was nice. I also found hair shedding with this line to be average to what I get with other shampoos and conditioners that I use (so nothing more than normal and not noticeably less than normal).You can see in my before and after that this line did a great job at repairing my damaged hair after I used some not so great products. I did take one star off because it did not keep my oily roots at bay. I do wait 3-4 days between hair washes, so I need something that is long lasting. I found that this was not for me. So if you deal with an oily scalp like I do, this could still work out if you use it daily. But be prepared for the oily roots to show within 48 hours. However, it was well worth it to my because it repaired my hair so well. I will definitely be using this line to maintain my healthy hair. Note that the results in the before and after were both blow dried hair with the same blow dryer.
Firstly, when I got this I failed to realize that this is just one part of a 3-part system that is supposed to be used all together (first the Molecular shampoo, then the Molecular rinse-off serum, lastly, this leave-in mask). Since I don't have the other two products, I can only speak to using this one on its own.Results: I have fine, dyed light auburn hair. I used my normal shampoo and conditioner (widely known affordable stuff, nothing fancy), then applied this mask after towel-drying my hair. After that I let my hair fully air-dry and this stuff left my hair so super soft! I used this yesterday afternoon and this morning my boyfriend asked me if I was wearing perfume because he smelled the scent coming from my hair. He wasn't a huge fan of the scent either, but since that's highly subjective I'll keep it at 5 stars since it works so well.My only other comment is that it didn't have tamper-proof packaging or a plastic seal which I thought was odd, but perhaps that's standard with this type of product.Overall, I am very happy.
The lather on this shampoo was luxurious and the scent was nicely done. Not overpowering.I used more than a quarter-sized dollop, but I am certain a little goes a long way.When using the entire trio together, (shampoo/serum/leave-in mask) I noticed a difference in my hair’s softness. I do think it will take longer use of the Absolut Repair Molecular line to see anything more significant.I was only able to use this product a few times before I had to write this, but I hope with continued use there will be further improvement and a review update.As a woman in my 50s having curly, greying and thinning hair, any product which can help to restore volume, sheen and thickness is one I need to try. This was a nice surprise. I was also unaware of the high-end salon style product lines they have produced. You can feel, and smell the quality of the ingredients.Clearly, I missed the memo on how to open the top of the shampoo. I am certain it was user error on my part but boy that adult-proof cap, I could not figure out. Perhaps, I need a lesson.I would have given it five stars if not for spending ample time trying to get the pump on the bottle to open.
