L.O.L Surprise - Mix & Make Birthday Cake Tots

As if these little surprise dolls weren’t already cute enough! This Birthday Cake one was super fun and easy to make. Directions were clear and straight forward. When completed it molded nice and strong. Similar to a thick rubber feel. Perfect addition for my daughters collection. She is already asking for another.

My 6 year old seen these in the store and asked for it. The overall idea is super cute, and my daughters loved making them, but I don't think I would buy them again. The directions weren't very easy for my 10 year old to understand. The overall process was a bit messy and complicated. It may have been user error, but the final result doesn't seem very durable. My daughter doesn't want to play with the doll because the dress will break.

It’s really cute that this all comes packaged in a little ball with all the pieces individually wrapped to keep finding new surprises as you open. This project was quite a messy toy. The mixture once wet was very, very sticky, and seemed somewhat toxic. When I told my daughter that it was “cake”, she was super disappointed that she couldn’t actually eat it. This toy comes very well packaged. The instructions were easy to understand. I will say this can be a messy project with little kids so make sure to out paper towels down. It turns out nice and my daughters really enjoyed. I received this free from influenster and LOL for ab honest review. We will definitely purchase more of these to try and complete the collection.

A bit confusing

It was really hard to understand the instructions and we ended up with a slime with a very weird texture. It’s supposed to be a cake? We wanted to take the toy seriously lol but we (my niece and I) couldn’t figure it out. The doll is cute and she comes with cute accessories. I think as a gift this would be a great stocking stuffer, the price is okay too.

I found the directions were a little harder for my daughter to follow, so I ended up making it for her. The skirt dries pretty quickly, but just always is left with a tacky/sticky feeling. And honestly I know it won’t last long without breaking. But overall, she does love it and it went well with her birthday theme. It was just a little complicated.

I hate sequins

10 out of 10 would recommend you buy this for someone you hate. My ex bought this for my daughter (who lives full time with me and NOT him). There are little bits of sequins everywhere. They stick to everything. Especially the solution which gets on not only the toy but also on whatever surface you use. Awful item. Horrible toy. -978 stars. Unless you love glitter and sequins. Then maybe this is the toy for you. I suppose it's good quality though... especially considering the sequins will be around till the end of time.

Messy

Purchased for my 4 year old Daughters Birthday. Sat down to do it, we had to watch a YouTube channel. Not so straightforward and instructions not self explanatory. completed task which didnt take too long with glitter accessories at the end. These were falling off Dolls Dress covering Carpet ( all over house ) Product hard not so playable in fact id personally say boring for a little girl especially the price tag.

Mold!

Instructions are impossible to read. Had to watch a video to figure out how to create this dress. It did not come out well, and wouldn’t stick to the silicone part that goes on the doll. It took forever to dry. Also, I noticed the next day that the dress had MOLD growing on the bottom of it. Had to throw this away. 5 yo was so disappointed. What a waste of money

Unsure if this is safe for skin contact

This kit involves dissolving a chemical compound into water to create a dress. The instructions do not instruct to use hand protection. My daughter and I both took on this project with the instructions and both have a slimey residue on our hands that does not seem to wash off and are both experiencing irritation on our hands! Warning label says that if it irritates your skin then to “discontinue use” (but you have to find out the hard way.) Should be part of the instructions to use gloves. The label should also at least list the ingredients of the compound so we could figure out how to get it off our skin or treat the interaction! Not a very fun experience!
