I've been using a K800 and M325 combo for years. I started working from home full time a couple years ago and have been using a USB switch to share the mouse and keyboard between my home PC and work Macbook. Totally acceptable but a bit annoying needing to tap that switch and also change the input of my primary 27" screen that is also shared between the two machines - smudge the screen, bump the monitor off-center, almost knock over a coffee or water.I started researching ways to switch monitor input using Display Data Channel (DDC) protocols, maybe triggering scripts with a USB foot pedal or something like that. Could I hack that switch with the switch sharing the Logitech Unifying Receiver?I happened to be browsing for a new mouse, something more comfortable, ... I'd used Synergy years ago to share keyboard and mouse between Windows and Mac, and more recently Mouse Without Borders between two Windows machines, so I'm familiar with the concept and the sometimes touchy screen edge transfers. Once I got Flow set up and the keyboard linking to the mouse, it's been working pretty consistently and I just simplified my cable management by removing the USB switch altogether.Best thing of all is that with the Options+ software I've configured one of the programmable keys to switch monitor inputs via batch script and ControlMyMonitor in Windows and a simple Automator app with m1ddc on the Mac. Custom KVM solution without the KVM box and extra wires!

The mouse has a good contour that feels just right in my hand. The buttons are crisp and work well. I really like the On/Off switch on the mouse, my older Logitech Keyboard & Mouse combo didn’t have that, that’s how old it was!I noticed that the keyboard has an auto shut off feature. I didn’t see it until I went into the software to set it up that it did that, nice touch! Speaking of which, the software auto download’s and is easy to use. The set-up was a snap and the Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo worked right out of the box, no issues. I have two P.C.’s on my desk, so I purchased a second Logitech - USB Unifying Receiver. The keyboard & mouse have corresponding numbers on them to indicate which device is active, so you would think it would be “brain dead dumb” to set-up, right? Not quite! Here’s where the only issue I have with this Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo comes up.First the software has to be installed on both P.C.’s before you can set the Keyboard & Mouse combo to the number you want (It defaults to number one) The instructions are really vague on this. The mouse worked correctly, just read the instructions, the keyboard was another story. The instructions tell you to turn off the mouse and then turn it back on to assign it the corresponding number (1,2 or 3) No problem, these are on the mouse & keyboard. That worked fine, the keyboard doesn’t have an off switch, so you have to remove one of the batteries! Then put it back in, and then assign it the number you want it to be.The instructions make no mention of this! After having & using the Logitech MK850 Performance Full-size Wireless Optical Keyboard and Mouse combo for two month’s I have to say I love this set-up. I highly recommend this keyboard & mouse combo, I’m sure it will serve me well for another 20 years!

As a graduate student I have to type papers all of the time. This keyboard was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that would be an easy transition from the keyboard on my laptop. I also did not want my desk to become cluttered with wires, and wanted backlit keys for working at night. This keyboard is all around excellent. It feels very sturdy, the key travel and feel is also quite nice. I am used to typing on my Razer Blade 15, so normal desktop keyboards feel quite mushy and I do not like the long key travel on most keyboards. I also dont care for the loud clicking that comes with gaming keyboards, as it gets a little obnoxious when trying to type a paper. I have a home computer and work computer and was using two sets of keyboards and mouse devices. I searched and researched online for the best mouse and keyboard and discovered that there are devices that allow you to switch between multiple computers. I read the online and reviews and decided on the LogitechMX Keys. There are 3 buttons on the top row that allow you to easily rotate between 3 different computers. The keyboard connects very easily via Bluetooth. I use the keyboard everyday and the battery life has been very good around 2 weeks of use before needing to recharge. The keys have a great feel and keyboard is solid, streamlined and very well engineered. The backlighting is nice and has multiple brightness settings, but I tend not to use it in order to ... This is overall a great keyboard. It's ergonomic, comfortable, and a great size (if you aren't looking for portability). I just have a couple issues: the rubber feet on the tilt legs keep falling off, and I've had this for less than a month. In and of itself, it doesn't make a huge difference for usability, especially since I can just use a drop of superglue to fix it. But it does make me question the long-term durability of the product. Also, the customizability of the Options+ software leaves a lot to be desired. The mouse and keyboard shortcuts don't work within the app itself, which is ironic. And setting up more than just one or two app-specific customizations becomes tedious, because there's no way to customize a group of apps (for example, if you want the ... The mouse and keyboard shortcuts don't work within the app itself, which is ironic. And setting up more than just one or two app-specific customizations becomes tedious, because there's no way to customize a group of apps (for example, if you want the forward and back buttons to be redo and undo in all MS Office apps, you have to set them one-by-one). There are even some setups which don't work when app-specific, but do when set as Global (like setting a button to be play/pause as an app-specific setting for Spotify won't work, but that same button with the same setting as a Global option works fine. Which is great if you want play/pause more than anything else, but not if you want that button for another function except in Spotify). The ease of setup just means a couple minutes of tedium, and would probably bring my review up by half a star or so if fixed. Broken app-specific customizations are the other star and a half.
Was looking to replace my ancient Logitech wave keyboard and was pleased to find this keyboard and mouse had a feature I was not even looking for that I love, switching between 3 devices. I use a Mac laptop for work and a PC for gaming at the same desk. Before i would need to remove the logitech receiver and plug it from one device to another. Now, I can just hit the buttons to toggle devices. More keyboards and mice need this! As for use, the keyboard took a little time to get used to but so far its comfortable and pretty quiet. I would have loved to get a mechanical keyboard but the toggle really sold me and it has a stellar battery life (2-3 years!) Probably not the best keyboard for gaming but it gets the job done. The top had a button that toggles between click and fast scroll which feels kinda flimsy but it's ok, don't really use it much anyways. The one thing that threw me for a loop was the thumb button that natively toggles a desktop view which is useful except for when im in a game and i hit it and it brings me out of the game. Need to adjust the setting.
I'm writting this experience after 2 months use, daily. I'm a graphic designer and I combine keyboard and mouse with a Wacom tablet. Definitely one of the best keyboard and mice sets I have ever owned! Perfect for a WFH and for-fun set up. Especially if you switch from a Mac to a PC!Super easy to switch between my work computer and personal computer within seconds and the Bluetooth connection is very strong. Battery life is fantastic, I've been using it for 10+ hours a day for 3 months and the keyboard still has full charge and the mouse is at around ~75% charge. Amazing and no cables to fiddle around with. The best part is the Mac and Windows keyboard support - I have to use a Mac for work and it's nice that the keyboard has the Apple command and alt listed underneath their Windows equivalents. I love the mouse especially, and the material on the wrist rest is very nice feeling. Not to mention that they actually look quite nice in person, the white bottom layer makes it look a bit snazzier, in my opinion.Overall, highly recommend! I would buy it again!
DO NOT BUY, NEAR FRAUDULENT, in my experience and opinion!i will never buy logitech because of this product(and one other),best buy has lost a great deal of respect for carrying this product and selling it to me, why am i not buying from amazon instead if the product quality control is no different?i have purchased two of this exact thing a year an a half apart, and they both have the exact same issues.both the mouse and keyboard CONSTANTLY disconnect and reconnect while you are in the middle of typing or moving the mouse. the amount of lag delay is unheard of in the modern day. the stuff in the 90's was higher quality.when it disconnects, it will stop typing, but it will remember everything, so while your trying to figure out what is going on, when it ...
