Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

Perfect beginner cam for streaming! Very affordable but the software you can use it with is the best part. Instead of having your settings reset in OBS each time, you can set them there and keep your perfect settings everytime. Wish it would work consistently though and just overall dislike the mic it comes with.

I use this Webcam for video calling and it's a fantastic option. The hinge-style attachment portion is easy to use and highly adjustable to get just the right angle, and it would work on just about any monitor. Great video quality as well, frankly too good sometimes as a little more blurriness might be more flattering lol. The matte plastic does attract dust but that's the only negative.

I purchased a laptop about 6 months ago and the camera stopped working on teams and zoom. It works in other apps so i know it's not broken. Ive tried troubleshooting every single thing i found twice with no luck. I just decided to purchase a new webcam. Im director of customer success for a software company so i need a Webcam. This Webcam has worked beautifully. Easy to connect set up and use. Zero complaints

Fantastic web cam, easy to set-up and use, outstanding optics

This webcam is FANTASTIC!! I had one provided for me at work, and from personal experience and on-line reviews, purchased this item for my parents. They are seniors, not the most tech-savvy, and our weekly zoom calls with them had dim and foggy images from their nascent computer web cam. This item was delivered early for Father's Day (was one of the few of this model available during the COVID-19 pandemic). Dad was able to easily connect it and get it running. The video image and sound quality on our zoom family meetings are now like NIGHT and DAY!!! *Everyone* on the call has commented how excellent their video image is now: clear, sharp image; well-lit; colors true-to-life. Great product. But bit of a faff to set up. Good help from Logitech.

Great video and sound. But have to download software from Logitech first. A bit vague. Had to get advice though cam showed up as working in device manager, it did not work. Logitech advised unplug and cam then uninstall drivers from device manager, restart pc then plug cam into different USB port. Worked fine from then on. Not quite what we could call plug and play.I use this with Discord to talk face to face. No need to wear headset or mic. No feed back when others speak.

If you want a webcam that'll do the job well for years, get a C920.

Logitech has released follow-ups to the C920 in the last few years, but it's a tough model to improve upon. Unless you really need 4k capture, or 1080p @ 60 fps (C920 tops out at 1080p @ 30fps, or 720p @ 60 fps), this is about the best model out there from any manufacturer. Since C920's have been out for years, they can be had pretty cheap (new or used), and with a Windows machine they're plug-and-play. I have no experience with MacOS (nor do I ever hope to). I have 2 of these; one that is a Carl Zeiss model and one that's a standard C920. I've never compared them, but I can tell you both work great. Logitech's free "Logi-Capture" software is outstanding also and works seamlessly with these models. Logitech C920 - Well worth the extra cost

Image is crisp, microphone quality excellent. Of the three webcams I have, this is by far the best. Setup consisted of plugging it in and downloading the Logitech software to test. True 1080P resolution. Very satisfied. Main use is Zoom meetings, Compared to the cheaper versions from unknown vendors, this works very well, excellent color balance and crisp picture.The software allows you to "Zoom" the camera that it retains when in use. Just go into the Logitech software, enlarge the picture to whatever size you want, and the camera will remember the setting when in a zoom meeting. You can't adjust while in a Zoom meeting, but it will remember the preset.Bit more expensive but well worth the price.

Superb build quality, sharp natural detailed image and great low light performance.

I am so glad I waited in order to get this webcam. Granted it's a lot more expensive than the many advertised that look similar or give similar specs. However from the moment you open the packaging, the quality of construction of this camera speaks for itself. Solid metal, soft plastics, a versatile but well made bracket including tripod mount, stereo mics, clear film protecting not just the front transparent window but even the shiny gloss plastics. It's a lot smaller than I expected, just an inch or so high and maybe 5 inches wide. It feels pretty solid though but it is quite light. The cable length is generous, maybe 1.5m? I did though download the Logitech Capture and Camera Settings software from the Logitech website which enables you to adjust the resolution, zoom and pan, adjust colour, temperature, sharpness and so on. Compared to the built in 720p camera on my iMac this is noticeably improved, excellent picture quality, natural colours, excellent low light performance and autofocusing. It's nice that you can disabled the autofocus with the app and manually focus if required. Although I don't tend to use the built in mics, theydo sound great and in stereo. Excellent wide view, no visible distortion and works equally well on the Windows 10 PC with Teams - again no software installation required. Definitely a class leading webcam and really pleased.

Here is what I found: Right away I noticed that the C920 was a superior product - as it should be, considering it is Logitech's flagship webcam at the moment. But my initial impression was that the extra features might not be worth the size and setup tradeoff. There are three things that the C920 does not have: 1) While all three models attach to your computer monitor in about the same way and all three can tilt up and down, only the C525 and C615 can turn side to side. In fact, they can turn around 360 degrees and more. In contrast, the C920 is much larger and stationary. 3) The C615 comes with a shorter USB cable AND an extension for more versatility. The C920 - like the C525 - comes with only a full length cable (6'). My wish for all three models is that they come with a detachable USB cable, which would make them all much more portable and easy to carry around, especially in this age when most people travel with at least one or two USB cables. But when I actually sat down to do some serious comparisons, I realized just how much more advanced the C920 is, most notably in its use of H.264 compression and its autofocus feature. H.264 is a standard being utilized more and more for video of all sorts, and it makes a huge difference here. Having used all three webcams on the same computer and with the same software, the C920 compresses 1080p video completely while recording and takes about 49MB per 1 minute of recording on the highest settings (720p for one minute takes about 31MB). That uses *.mp4 format. Meanwhile, the C615 and C525 use *.wmv format and take 99MB and 44MB for one minute of video at 1080p and 720p, respectively. The real problem, though, is that you then have to sit and wait for the video to compress if you are working in 1080. If you're interested, The C920 has 1 zoom level at 1080 and 4 levels at 720. The C615 has 0 zoom levels at 1080 and about 10 at 720. The C525 has about 10 at 720. All can be used during recording, but the quality involved with the C920 is again far superior. Also, the autofocus is much better on the C920, with less flickering and light change. You can really get up close and show off your pores and beard growth. In conclusion, the optics and hardware of the C920 are obviously superior to the others, which are already high quality. If I am using the webcam while highly mobile, then I may opt for one of the others - I might even just settle for the C525 because it's a tiny bit smaller than the C615 and I believe you cannot use the C615 to make 1080p video calling, even if your hotel's Internet service could keep up with the data rate. However, if I am using a webcam at a stationary computer, or am really a videophile, then I definitely want the bigger workhorse.

Until they go back to older circuitry, I will not purchase another one with LOGI on the lens. Buy the older model

This one is not the newest with the LOGI logo on the face plate. This one still has the circuitry that gives you the high quality full focus, resolution and color. Logitech shot themselves in foot when changing production site to different countries and quality and color and sharpness have gone by the wayside.
