Making a macro that clicks, waits 50ms, then clicks again, and setting it on repeat as long as the button is held, perfect for turning semi-auto weapons in FPS games into machineguns. Yeah I'm done with you, Logitech. I realize I sound like an angry, but it has to be said. Despite carefully designing pretty nice looking peripherals, you decide to use the crappiest solution in terms of internals and rest of components, with flimsiest metal contacts and springs I have ever seen and experienced before, meaning that eventually your mouse out of nowehere decided to just die without any symptoms just showing me 3 red dots which means (buddy i'm done, my mission is over for good) after trying to find solutions on the internet (problem is quite common with Logitech "TOP TIER" mices) replacing the battery with the new one (rechargable high quality) I've got no results. I have finally decided to contact with technical support to express my problems and providing them prompt information about my recent experience with G700S giving them ofc proof of problem existance warranty card and S/N. And after exchange a few emails they showed pure ignorancy because they are not respecting international warranty replacements(got in Dubai, working in EU) they suggeted me to contact with my retailer and apply for warranty or refund, even though I pointed with capital letters that the retailer warranty doest not apply for accesories and perhiperals such as mices etc (showed them exact column which says the warranty terms and conditions). They're situated themselfes in such a finnicky little manner it's almost as if you expect them to wait forever for a reply and expect people to work the things for themselfes, they just want you to know they are washing their own hands and they are not care about you and your device. Thanks for pointing me that out Logitech! After this heartbreak, I will never buy another Logitech mouse. I will list it somewhere... this clicky paper weight, and I will to get maybe 5 dollar for this. They have no excuse because far worse mice ($5-10) have lasted much longer, with contacts that didn't fail and fairly working internals until the natural death after couple of years. But sure, Logitech'll keep making pretty sweet, $100 dollar mice with 5 cent components and chineese PCB, because outside quality means higher than average prices and worse than average components. It's not rocket science to test how many millions of times a microswitch and logic board can operate before failure, and it's simple logic (tech logic even) to ensure mice can last – after all, nobody is paying that much for a mouse who is going to use it only casually. While I'm at it, in an era of optical mice that use lasers instead of the ancient system of balls in a rolling enclosure wanted to do upgrade and what? I've got a paperweight with flashing led's for 100usd? I get that there is a bottom line. You know that's basically all that matters, come to think of it. Still I don't think most companies intentionally hamstring their products so blatantly... years of complaints and no specific response says plenty about your business. Farewell.

None exhibited the single-left-click-generates-a-double-click problem (which indicates that the Chinese-made switch needs to be replaced with a Japanese-made switch Ive repaired two of my four older, heavily-used G700s). Mice which came close to the G700 features/geometry were very pricey at $150 - $200 (In 2012 I paid $70 - $80 each for my four G700s.). And even then many users of currently-available new mice were dissatisfied with either the quality and/or the Logitech design changes. Note that the single-left-click-generates-a-double-click problem is a risk even with a new mouse; those problematic Chinese-made Omron micro switches are still being installed in new mice. The G700 which I have used the most for the last six years has not exhibited the problem, whereas two lesser-used G700s did. So I purchased three of these used G700s, one to replace a dead Mionix NAOS 5000 (I never liked the geometry anyway) and two as spares. So that gives me a total of seven G700s (plus a Logitech MX-518 which came with an Asus laptop). Obviously I like these mice.
