I was looking for a personal web cam for a desktop computer and debated between this and another higher priced Logitech webcam, evaluating both side by side, ultimately choosing another for my needs. However, this is the best personal webcam I've seen at this price point. It's build quality is very good and it sat very securely and at a nice height on my 24" monitor. It has full HD 1080p at 30 FPS, with an option 720p at 60 FPS. It is rated at 2 megapixels. It has a 70 degree field of view, which is common for a personal webcam. It has two stereo microphones. In testing it, it has a warm color, excellent clarity, picked background colors true to life, but made my skin tone slightly redder than it was. It was a close call and I could've gone for either camera, but opted to choose another due to its truer color matching for skin tones, overall image, and better audio quality.

Previously I used the built in camera with the laptop. However, when I added 2 large monitors the laptop camera became inconvenient. Since I mainly work from home and constantly on video meetings it was essential to have quality video which works without additional lighting rendering natural color and exposure. Set up was simple. This model works reliably even when hooking up through docking station. Everything was detected automatically with no need to download anything. I like the light feature letting you know when camera is active eliminating the need for a lens cover. It reliably fits on the monitor with no need of the accompanying stand. Honestly, I'm surprised by all the highly positive reviews. If you're using this on Mac at least, the experience isn't great. The app is problematic (every single time you join a Zoom call you have to re-launch the app to get a wider angle - every single time). The camera has trouble focusing and, in particular, getting exposure right. To give you context, I sit with a window behind me, so admittedly I do sometimes have a relatively strong backlight happening. So it's definitely a challenging environment to some degree. It was easy to install. Trusted Brand. Excellent Quality. Good Purchase.*Pros: Excellent quality. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Tripod brings freedom of changing or moving camera easily. Better viedo quality than many other brands.*Cons: Software is not easy to use. No privacy cover. Tripod is short. Microphone is not strong enough if the camera is in arm distance. It does not have a USB Type C connection. It would be great to have 365° rotation opyion.Overall it is a good purchase for its value and I recommend it.

The other camera worked until recently, then I kept getting error messages and the camera would not turn on with a failed message, or the camera would not turn on, then I would manually turn it on, and I would get the error message of failure. I was very careful while removing the USB port when I needed to use that port for my printer, and when reconnecting.With some research on the internet, we noticed some comments about this issue, and apparently the internal wires may separate over a period of time. if the wires could be reconnected, then teh camera could be spared. So it takes some effort to understand the technical arrangements arround that IF you choose to use the software which, as mentioned, has some useful extra features like exposure or image size adjustment.Overall though, it's quite handy for its price, especially for someone like me who has occasions that absolutely requires a webcam yet do not need it everyday hence justifying a higher price investment.
