I’ve waited roughly 6 months of using my life straw water bottle before making a review about it.I love the filter for obvious reasons, so that’s a huge plus. But the straw itself, and the mouthpiece it connects to are both super disappointing. With every sip of the straw, I’m getting 70% air, and 30% water. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bottle. I used it when I went to Mexico City so I didn't have to buy water and waste single use plastic bottles. My friends thought I was crazy for drinking tap water, but I never got sick! It was also good for the airport since each airport has different tasting water fountains and possibly not as clean as I would like. If I couldn't find a fountain I could just fill from a bathroom sink.It takes a little bit of effort to drink from compared to an unfiltered straw water bottle but I didn't think it was too bad. I look forward to traveling more with this bottle! Overall I would highly recommend and am very satisfied with this bottle.

I bought 2 water bottles for an upcoming trip abroad, and 1 bottle works perfectly. Used the same cleaning/set-up method for both, and followed directions exactly. I have to work so hard to get water through the mouthpiece on 1 of the bottles it's ridiculous. I'm very disappointed as I have now seen other reviews with the same issue; therefore, this is not an isolated incident. I bought the bottles though Amazon because I had points to use so I don' want to return both bottles. I emailed Life Straw, but had a message that I may not get a response for 5-7 days. (ugh!) I will post this review on Amazon and other websites after I hear back from LifeStraw. I hope they don't just repeat all of the "tips" I already found (none worked). Love this, but it's good to know it's limitations and pluses: this botte will leak a small amount if not upright because of the need to have an air equaliser. I also worry about it cracking if dropped so I feel nervous about using it in outdoor locations or in bags that cannot remain upright but the carabeena helps. It does not hold as much water as other bottles this size. Benefits: don't need to open the lid which makes it easier in the dark, where there are insects, less chance of spills. It looks good and does good. It stays fairly clean. It makes water taste better. Drinking from it is a pleasure. I feel assured I can access water in most places because of it.
I was excited to purchase the Lifestraw 1L GO. Bought two. Fast delivery and products received were not damaged. Read the specs of the product. I know lifestraw and expected more. The filter is a bit hard to draw through but that was a surprise. The bottle leaks badly. Pop the spout open in sprays water. Leave it overnight in the cupholder and it sprays water when you open the spout. Leave the spout upright overnight and there will be water in your cupholder in the morning. I am not sure if it doesn't vent properly or if it pressure change due to temperature. But is makes if very frustrating and messy to use. Bought for a trip in Canada. Replaced it with something else before the trip was over.

I posted a review after purchasing 2 LifeStraw water bottles (22 oz) for a trip abroad. One worked perfectly and the other not so much. It was impossible to get water through the straw on one. I emailed LifeStraw because I really didn't have time to return the bottle and get something else. LifeStraw told me to take the filter out and remove the carbon filter at the top. Soak the filter only for 1 hour in a mixture of 4 tbls. of coconut milk and 2 cups of water. Rinse everything well and replace. It worked great! Super easy fix and all is well. Thanks to LifeStraw as the product is great and I really wanted it to work.
No leaking issues like others mention, easy to clean the lid and the canister. Mouthpiece works well. Water tastes neutral, which is good, I don't want a fishy smell or taste, or chlorine taste. Took to Mexico but still got revenge. Nearly impossible to avoid contaminated water there, ice in drinks, food, etc. While I do think this helped minimize the revenge, we were faithful and only drank from this, even poured bottled water into this.Now using to filter regular city water and works fine, no taste or smell.
