Lexar 320GB Professional CFexpress Type A Card Gold Series

Great memory card, perfect for S&Q setting on Sony A7siii and also taking time lapses involving a thousand shots or more. Very fast transferring the information to the computer too. I already had one of these cards and just bought two more as I was very happy with the performance

Blazing speed!

Bought these cards for a Sony A7R V, so I have been using it to save videos proxy, and jpeg raw (simultaneous writing to both cards). Tremendous performance so far. These cards are quite small, so they are easy to keep around if you need to swap them for bigger capacity SDs temporarily. They get a little bit hot, specially when you are squeezing performance out of it. I would recommend them anytime (specially since they are priced quite aggressively against its competitors).

Excellent quality

Excellent quality, as expected from Lexar. The Type A cards are very expensive, from all the manufacturers, and that's the only reason for four stars instead of five. The cards themselves are fast and have performed flawlessly.

Expensive but FAST

I picked up this card while it was on sale, and really it's a very nice to have card option. My SD cards work fine, but this CFexpress is just so speedy, especially for transferring large amounts of photos to my PC. Of course you do need a CFexpress card reader too so costs start to add up. Whether or not you believe this card is worth the price and investment would be up to you, but I don't think that should be a reflection on how this item is rated (knowing the cost up front). The quality and speed of the card is fantastic so I would recommend it if you're in the market for a CFexpress card.

Failed

Took card out of camera (which was off) and put in card reader to transfer the files to computer and nothing. Although the images were fine in the camera, when I put the card back in the camera again no images. Had to buy a recovery program to get the images back. Been doing this ever since digital came out and never had this problem. Just can't trust Lexar.

High Quality Product. High Resolution.

This type A memory card is amazing. It reliably captures images in high resolution. The images imo are cinema quality. It offers a sustained read speed of up to 900MB’s with a sustained write speed of up to 800MB’s. It has a Video Performance Grade of 400. I love it! I highly recommend it. High quality product line.

Still Expensive but works

I saved $180 on them when they were on sale at B & H. When I first bought my camera, I bought 2 80 gb cards for $175 each. These were 2 160 gb cards for $400. Twice as much capacity for only $50 more. Still expensive but they blow my high end SD cards away.

Workhorses of my card collection

I have 4-320GB and 3 of the 160GB of these Lexar Gold cards. I use them mostly in my 3 FX30s to shoot interview segments. But I will also use them in the FX6 I recently bought to shoot sporting events and whatever else comes in front of my lens. I have never had an issue with any of the cards. I like that they are rated at VPG-400. I also just feel better spending the money for the CFX-A cards instead of SD cards - even if the numbers say all the codecs I shoot can be recorded on either one. The price is also usually a bit more reasonable than the Sony Tough cards and being from Lexar I trust that they will perform now and in the future.

Works as advertised.

I had been holding off on these due to the exorbitant price. When they finally got some on sale, I decided to pull the trigger. For use on my FX6 and a7S3, I’d always used v90 cards. Never had a single issue. But they were not able to do a couple of the modes available on those cameras. I went ahead and tried out the 4K, 120FPS, S&Q and the cards worked flawlessly. Do be aware that you will use 160 GB in about 15 minutes when running in these modes. So, if for some reason, you need a lot SQ 120 be ready to dump the files or have a lot of cards on hand.

Works good

I've had a good history with Lexar and these were a good deal so decided to try them. I shoot football both JPG and RAW simultaneously and tried these recording raw so it had a good workout. One of the cards got a bit warm which I noticed doing a card swap (never had that with Sony). Records about the same speed as Sony (could be a tad faster but nothing noticeable). Seems a bit more sturdy than Sony as these are metal and Sony plastic though it's so thin it might not be. In short, it seems comparable to Sony so I would go with the best deal.
