I have owned SL cameras since their introduction late-2015. I have tried various 35 lenses on my SL cameras... 23TL, 35 Panasonic, 35 Sigma and 35 APO SL. Now this new 35 Summicron SL.Judging only this 35 Summicron SL lens (and not against the other 35 lenses noted above) I'd say this lens is a solid 4 lens.Wide open this lens tends to be a little soft across the full frame. The center is reasonably sharp. Stopped down to f2.8 sharpness improves across almost all of the frame. At f4 and above sharpness is uniform.Color and contrast are very nice. Colors are well saturated.For use on an SL2 camera this 35 Summicron is recommended.
