LEGO 60051 High-speed Passenger Train City

This train looks very sleek and modern when compared to the previous version, the red passenger train (7938). The set includes the train, three minifigures, a bicycle, a small platform and a narrow crossing, presumably for pedestrians and bicyclists.I thought the build was easy until I had to put the nose part on. In the end, I had to place the train on its side to get the piece attached. There are a few stickers, but I guess they're inevitable. This means you have to place the platform on the inside of the track or right in the middle of two straight track pieces and the pedestrian crossing on the other side of the track. If you don't, the nose will chafe against the platform. The instruction booklet number 2 actually shows how to place the platform and the crossing properly. Also, the way the map of train services is attached to the platform is a bit flimsy as it's connected to the black fence piece with only two studs at the center.All in all, a very nice and good-looking set with a few minor problems. Definitely a must-have for the average train enthusiast.

Well, this is a pretty good set if you enjoy playing with toy trains. I'd say it comes with just enough stuff to play around with. If you bought this one and felt this didn't satisfy your needs, I'd recommend buying some other stuff like more rails and such.However, there is one critical problem with this set, and that has something to do with the head of the train. The head of the train is relatively "flat" and big, which in and of itself not a big deal and stays true to the imagery of the high-speed train. I hope that Lego takes this into careful consideration next time.

I've always wanted a Lego train, and finally got my hands on this! I ended up buying two for more track and to make a longer train. (After making the center car from the second set, there are nearly enough pieces to build another center car out of the pieces of the two engines. I only needed a couple of bricks from outside the set to finish it) If you make a longer train, a single motorized engine is capable of pulling it along.The only flaw in this set is a simple fix. I had issues putting the sleek windshield housing on over the front and rear of the train. The corners were bent in ever so slightly, causing them to catch before they could be pressed into place.
