Beautiful cookware in every way. I adore “Le Creuset”! I now have 8 pieces. This is my newest baby. I bought it a week ago. I christened it the same day I received it and used it again 2 nites later. It’s a great size for a meal for 2-3 people or a stir-fry for 4-6 people. It’s coated with non-stick enamel, cooks beautiful and retains heat for a while. It has a slightly rounded bottom which is great for stirring food as it cooks and it’s really easy to clean.

So far I made curry, soup, hotpot and cooked rice with this universal 'Dish'. Absolutely fall in love with it. I even bought a 24cm wooden lid to go with it. Perfect!

The perfect balti fish.This has the usual le creuset quality finish.I was worried after reading other reviews that the Matt finish on the inside might cause food to stick but it has worked perfectly and is as non stick as any other enamelled dish.Highly recommended especially for any curry lovers.

I've always struggled to do a good deep fry on the Aga as I find it difficult to get a good crispy batter even having to fry in endless small batches. I stayed away from cast iron all these years due to its weight, that is until LC came up with this fantastic balti. Not only it feels lighter than cast iron in this size, for the first time I managed to get a good deep fry on the Aga plate. And because the inside is enamelled, unlike normal cast iron, I can cook acidic food in this too such as sweet sour and curries! I'm now a full convert of LC cast iron, so much so, I went ahead and bought the huge round casserole as well.
Marvellous dish for cooking balti’s and curries at high heat. Looks wonderful to serve out of too and It is easy to wash afterwards. Being made of cast iron, it keeps the food warm for ages and can be used on most hobs and in the oven. I highly recommend this product.
The Balti dish is perfect for Indian cooking. It is exactly like the 'kadai' that we would use traditionally and being heavy-bottomed, it's great for making curries and stir-fries. It is also the perfect size for making 'luchis/puris' for special occasions 😀.
I have wanted this piece for a long time. Could find similar ones with a white interior, but not the black. I love it. Use it every day for so many things, from soups, to frying meat, even grilled cheese sandwiches. The size is perfect, and I found a glass lid that fits it too. It is so pretty, I leave it on the stove all the time. I bought the matching grill pan and love them both!

I really loved the look of this dish and with the great deal of BB&B I bought it without any hesitation. The dish is beautiful, with graceful handles. The 3 quart size is perfect for 2-3 people cooking, just what I needed. I have used a couple of times. I loved it but would love it more if it had come with a lid. I found myself looking for a cover while I was cooking, and I have been searching all over to find a lid for the dish. But mind you, it will be difficult, because of the handles, and even if you can find one that fits, the style may not. Now I wonder if I should have purchased Le Creuset soup pot instead, as it has a cover and also has similar curved bottom as this dish.
black coating inside helps cook at moderate to high temperatures. good for Indian cooking and adding crispness to okra or egg plant, without deep frying. only drawback is lacking a lid. use a porcelain heavy plate from dollar tree to cover it up. size is perfect. better to wipe it after cooking or use a mild detergent like dapple and lay it upside down until dry. always buy a pan with black enamel inside for high heat cooking.
