I had been happily using Nivea moisturiser after shaving and for some skin dryness after cycling. I succumbed to the advertising hype and "treated" myself to L'Oreal Vita Lift anti aging moisturiser. The fact it was on offer helped. I wished I hadn't. After a couple of days my skin looked like the dried out bed of a river in the Kalahari desert. My skin developed extensive flaking and reddening. It was obviously a reaction to this cream. From the beginning it did feel like an aggressive product and if you read the ingredients it is like a question from a chemistry exam. I e-mailed L'Oreal to complain and, disappointingly, have received no response. I would avoid.

This certainly does what it says on the tin!...well bottle. I have been using this for a few days now & my skin has never looked or felt so good! My wrinkles have definitely improved, my dry patches are no more, my skin feels firmer & looks & feels so much healthier. It has a thick texture to it so a little goes a long way, it absorbs quickly & doesn’t sit heavy on your skin & it has the most amazing scent to it which my partner loves. A really good daily moisturiser which actually works & I really recommend trying it if you want a moisturiser that you can actually see working!

My husband has used moisturiser for years, despite being of a generation that typically doesn't embrace beauty products. So he was more than happy to try this, and joked that he hoped to look 10 years younger after a few uses. However we didn't get past a few days before he requested his usual, basic moisturiser again. He just found this product too thick and didn't think it was worth paying more. His verdict is the cream is too thick to feel comfortable on his face, it's made no difference to his skin, the properties it boasts are silly, and no man needs more than a simple moisturiser to do the job, hence 2 stars. Don't shoot the messenger I'm only saying what he said. I always use the beech sap version of this which I love but thought Id give this a try. I have very fussy skin when it comes to creams even my hand cream has to be right as if I touch my face at some point afterwards I come out in spots on my chin and forehead at the drop of a hat though otherwise I never get spots at all, its something in some creams that my face doesnt like. My friend gave me some really expensive Temple Spa face cream for men once and I immediately broke out in spots.This is different from the beech sap one, the consistency is slightly different and obviously the scent is different but its just as good. I cant say which is better but Im sort of leaning towards using this one from now on for nebulous reasons Im not really able to explain. Its like the beech sap one is excellent and this one is truly marvellous not much in it, either way you cant lose.When I shower or wash my face my forehead always feels like its about to split its so dry and I have to moisturise it as a matter of urgency. I only need a tiny bit of this and it does my whole face and the relief is immediate. Great product, cant recommend it highly enough. If I had to pin down why I prefer it to the beech sap one Id say its reduced the bags around my eyes noticeably as well and my skin feels super soft which is great given that Im nearly 50.
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I've found in the past that moisturising my face often leads to breakouts. I've been using this product for a few days now and have found that so far, so good. It's quite a light, the dispenser doesn't release too much on a pump and it smells very nice when applying it. It's easily absorbed into the skin and doesn't leave you feeling sticky or greasy. I only use a little every day so this 50ml is likely to last quite a while which is good considering the price.
Fab results after just one day and a few days later he's so pleased to see some visible lines become less. Definitely stocking up from Look fantastic! And, with a fast next day (free) delivery for Christmas thus was a simple tick for the basket.
I've used moisturisers before as my skin is very dry. I live on the west coast of Scotland, I do a lot of walking with the dog in cold winds. Vita Lift 5 is a lovely product, it gave my face really good protection against the -8 freezing winds. My skin felt very soft (for once) and non-greasy. Most products I've used in the past don't absorbe as well as Vita Lift 5, and most don't last as long. My wife has noticed a difference, she said my face looks less ruggid. Overall it's given me great protection from the winds, a softer more refreshed skin texture and the wife likes it. Full marks!
