Kärcher SC 3 Upright Easyfix Steam Mop, Kills 99.9% of Bacteria Without Cleaning Chemicals

I was so keen to try this steam cleaner from Karcher as we are fans of the brand.From first go, it was easy and straightforward to assemble. I live in a fairly large 3 bed flat which is done in just one refill.It glides smoothly and manoeuvres well, even in tricky spaces which makes for a no fuss, easy cleaning experience!!The end result is satisfying every time. My floors are sparkling clean within minutes. As there is the option for floor type, on laminate flooring I am able to select the option which doesn’t flood the floor with water and within 10-15 minutes floor is clean and dry!Great design makes for easy to pack away and store without leads getting tangled.CONS:I found the lead is fairly shorter than I would like and I have to use an extension even for one room.It is substantially heavier than other steam mops I have used in the past. This is probably because it’s much better quality but should be put into consideration as it could be difficult to manoeuvre for someone less agile.For the price it retails for, there should at least be another microfibre cloth. The mop only comes with one cloth.The steam mop does not stand alone. Coupled with its heaviness, this can be quite cumbersome. It ought to have some sort of minimal support to make cleaning and storing much easier.In all, I would Definitely recommend the mop for the quality and reliability of the brand and for the results it produces.

I was so looking forward to this. We have other Karcher products and have always been happy with them. Firstly the instructions are poor, I had to watch a you tube video for help.The cable is ridiculously short. I couldn't even use it to steam my main bathroon as the cable didn't reach. I would have to go to the bother of attaching to an extension cable. The steamer doesn't stand up by itself so you need to prop it up. On one occasion it came crashing to the floor. I was shocked to find that there was only 1 pad for the floor. For the cost of this appliance I would at least expect 1 spare. Very poor. I'm afraid this looks like it is going to be donated to one of my daughters and I will go back to my old Vax as I can't live with the short cable.

The different modes are convenient as they light up when using on vinyl or carpets. The machine is compact, nice looking and has a good working length of cable. When working on vinyl it glides over easily and the steam cleaning pressure gives a good finish to the vinyl. When cleaning the carpets you add the attachment and I was really happy how this moved with ease over the carpet, giving it a fresh look as this appeared to raise the pile to give the carpet as good as new look.
