Kosas Chemistry AHA Serum Deodorant Fragrance Free

Oh how i love this! Much as id like the antiperspirant deodorants, Id really rather not get breast cancer. So my search for natural deodorants went on for years. Then i started working ourdoors, in this lovely texas heat. Im usually drenched after an hour and basically running around with sweat all thru my shifts. Nothing was gonna keep my underarms dry, but id like it to be odor-free at least. Read more about clean deos and decided on this and necessaire (which smelled tooooo herbally). I used up a tube of this (just used the necessaire twice, i cant) which lasted me about 2-3mos with daily use. There IS a learning curve with this: apply and dry your pits in front of a fan so you don’t get that slimy feel all day. My coworkers and i vowed to let each other know if we start stinking. They are amazed that im drenched in sweat daily but i don’t stink. Of course, it helps that i shower daily 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve already reviewed the fragrance-free version, so I’ll try not to repeat too much. I’ve used clean/ natural deodorants for four years and this is the first and only one that has actually been effective. I LOVE Kosas and have used their makeup for years, so I was a little surprised when they launched body care, but they really nailed it! This is an AHA Serum Deodorant that features Shikimic Acid, Mandelic Acid and Lactic Acid along with Aloe, glycerin and Hyaluronic acid to fight odor, soothe and visibly brighten. The cooling rollerball feels good going on your skin and it dries quickly without leaving any residue on your clothes, even black! As someone who'd put deodorant on, drive to work, and already be smelly my only hope was saving up for MiraDry to zap my sweat and odor glands. BUT THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I roll it on after I shower at night and again in the morning before I get dressed and even after being outside all day there's absolutely NO smell. It's been over a year of using this and I keep reordering because it's still working!My only very tiny complaint is that the fragrance free isn't actually fragrance free and just seems to be a lighter version of the Serene Clean (which isn't very serene or clean smelling in my opinion), so it's not a great smell to my senses, but it could just be me. But I'd rather have this smelly deodorant that fades than ME be the smelly one. Haven't tried the newest Beachy Clean scent yet, but I will! Even with the meh scents I will forever be grateful to Kosas for creating something that works for me!!!

Best deodorant I have used!

I usually don't have time to write reviews (#momlife) but I had to write a review for this deodorant!Firstly, I switched to natural deodorants two years ago, so I did not experience the "detox stage" of having to get the old deodorant and chemicals out. Been there, done that. BUT - this deodorant is by far the best natural deodorant I have ever used. I have tried: Native (rash city), Megababe (worked but not for long, and gave me discoloration), Nala Care (rash) and 4 other "homemade" brands.This deodorant doesn't smell. I am no longer a big sweater, unless I am working out, so wetness isn't a huge factor for me. To give you an example: I applied this deodorant after my night workout/shower at 6 pm. Some reviews suggested using a blow dryer if you dislike the liquid application, I usually apply before doing hair/make up and it's dry pretty quickly on its own.

Clean Deodorant Dream

I purchased the green "Serene Clean" product due to reviews saying the blue "Beachy Clean" had an unpleasant scent. I will say the green one does not smell as described and it does have a bit of a musk scent, but I personally don't mind. I've been trying different natural deodorant for years (Malin + Goetz was my last brand) so I'm use to the "natural" smell. The scent is undetectable when worn anyway, so if you're worried about that - don't be. They do have an unscented version if you just can't stand a natural musk scent!I love this deodorant for a regular day out or when I'm in the office. Just gotta listen to your body and know what works best for you after trying different things. I would definitely repurchase and recommend to others.

I've been using the fragrance-free version of this deodorant for the past 2 months and have been really pleased. For most of my life I've used antiperspirants and hesitant to go natural (the last two times I tried, I used Native regular then sensitive and both gave me really bad rashes because of either the baking soda or fragrances or both).But the last antiperspirant I used was so strong with the aluminum content that my arms were constantly itchy, red, and grew dark from scratching, so I decided to try natural again.Here are some best practices with Kosas deodorant for it to work as effectively as possible: a) apply it with the tube slightly angled downward so the serum comes out easily without needing to squeeze the tube. b) have the serum fully dry so it ... MoreI've been using the fragrance-free version of this deodorant for the past 2 months and have been really pleased. I've also noticed it works better when I'm not wearing tight-sleeved tops but instead wearing clothing that lets my underarms breathe freely. In looser or sleeveless tops, I can sweat a ton and still not smell like anything, that includes workouts.

This product has been a gamechanger for me! I've suffered from hyperhidrosis since I was a teenager. It was unbearable. I tried every product and treatment. The only thing that managed it was Botox and its temporary and very expensive with no insurance. I've always had to use drugstore antiperspirants because that's all that would work decently for me. However, I'm conscious of the environment and trying to use cleaner/more natural ingredients as well. I had started using my Moon Juice Acid Potion (AHA based) after reading that it could double as a deodorant. It worked pretty well so I decided order this. No regrets! It smells great, feels lightweight, and I do not need to reapply throughout the day! I can't stand the smell of most drugstore deodorants because they're so synthetic and perfumey and not in a good way. I read mixed reviews about the fragrance options for this product and opted for fragrance free since I ordered online and didn't have time to check out a store and see if I liked the scents. I'm in awe. It's worked well for me, but Lume has a slight smell that is somewhat musty, or something. I never could put my finger on what the smell was. It wasn't a bad smell, just weird. I kept using it because the benefits outweighed the slightly odd smell. I found this product and was excited to try it, as it used the same science-y concepts as Lume and salicylic acid. I also love all of the other Kosas products that I've used. I've been using it a few weeks, and I'm a convert! I got the Beachy sent, and it smells delightful - light and fresh - and it keeps BO at bay very effectively. My experience during a June NYC Summer was ZERO to VERY LIGHT deodorizing coverage. In-store the fragrant version actually irritated the skin on my hand which never happens. I purchased the unscented based on a write-up on the lifestyle site Byrdie. Byrdie has failed me miserably on two different expensive deodorants - bye, bye Byrdie!I sweat a lot, and am a very active commuter HOWEVER, I had the WORST BO breakdown of my life and future reincarnations when using this on a hot day outside and simply working from home barely moving. The roll-on texture is not ideal and wet as expected but not slimy and dries pretty quick. I leave my home quickly and never felt like I was waiting for product to dry. The packaging is good, no dripping, easy to carry and stow, though not sure how many uses I would actually get out of 1 roll on, it just seemed like more waste than a solid.This is not for humans, or rather adult humans. The BO I had on the subway shocked someone next to me and even the person who washes my clothes wanted to alert me that my clothes were super ripe beyond belief. My favorite sports jacket had to have the underarms deodorized with baking soda and cleanser several times to remove the stank.My first mistake was using it on a hot day for hours with my regular commute and errands run. I didn’t really exert myself, but even that was way too much for this product. I have gone without deodorant in the heat and never smelled this bad, nor this quickly. I believe I quickly saw some armpit lightening and skin tightening, the lightening was somewhat streaky as per my application. Bottom line, this is the worst deodorant I have ever used. I’m open to another AHA formula however. Anyway, I passed this on to a relative in elementary school, so far so good for them. Going back to baking soda.
