Koolatron 12V Electric Cooler/Warmer Thermoelectric Car Fridge, Grey, 17L

We used the koolatron for a 3 week trip. No more keeping up with ice!!! It worked wonderfully. Also, bought the electrical adaptor. Took it in the room at night plugged it in and took it to the car every morning. Temperature maintained 36 degrees.

This car fridge worked perfectly for a cross-country trip. We put a refrigerator thermometer in the cooler to monitor and found the temperature was standardly 38F. It fit perfectly between the front seats. I purchased the extra plug so that we could take it inside and use a standard electrical outlet at night. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Perfect cooler for keeping food and drinks at a safe temperature. Recommend buying the inverter cord so the cooler can be taken into hotel and plugged into normal outlet. Wanted a cooler that would keep things chilled without having to worry about getting ice or dealing with melted ice. This will not ‘freeze’ food but definitely keeps it cool and safe.

Arrived just as described. Excellent size for auto travel....fits great behind front seats and easy to reach and use. Follow guidance about pre cooling prior to use, and placing cool items in unit. When doing so...cooler will maintain cool food indefinitely. Get AC converter to transfer to inside connection for overnight . Fan noise somewhat noticed, Place out of earshot.

Good little cooler

I'm an over the road trucker and have had my cooler for about 10 months now. I have owned about 6 different 12 V Coolers over the years And this is 1 of 2 that have lasted more than a few months.. It is perfect for Bottled drinks. I can fit 10 20 oz bottles in this cooler. My only complaint is the power cord. I'm not a big fan of the way It is set up to select heat or cool cool. It really should be a button on top of the unit. Anytime I accidentally unplugged the unit and have to replug it It is hard for me to for me to do because I have trouble seeing the black arrow on the cord. I have accidentally put it on heat a couple times.

Great size for up front in mini-van

Perfect fit between the front seats of my Pontiac Montana mini-van. Very handy for on the go water, pop, sandwiches, fruit, salads, kids snacks. Nice for picnics with its built in carrying handle. Make sure your vehicle has a cigar 12 volt power outlet on the dash or in the rear area or trunk. (maybe hard to find in newer vehicles as they cover the hole with a black cap)Just about to order a second one for a friend.

I had a fridge like this but bigger. It was junk. I was hesitant to buy this, I was very surprised. It cools really really well I was so shocked. You can reverse the plug and it will warm things up( I haven’t tried it, I bought it to cool.) It sits behind my passenger seat. I can reach it and grab a cold drink. No need to mess with ice. I also bought the 110v adapter.

When I received the Cooler I decided to try it out right away. I placed 11 - 20oz Gatoraid bottles that were room temperature in the cooler to see how long it would take to get them to a desireable temperature. True to the instructions in took about 12 hours to get them cold. I have kept them in the cooler ever since, keeping the cooler running 24 hrs a day just as though I were on a trip with it. I did stop and empty the cooler when I noticed an ice build-up around the cooling vents on the inside. When I emptied the unit I also noticed that the bottles nearest the top were noticeably warmer than the ones near the bottom. I allowed the ice to melt and then refilled the unit with the still cold Gatoraid bottles and restarted the unit. I believe that having seals around the lid area would greatly improve the units ability to keep anything near the top area colder than it currently does. I'm anxious to use the unit on a upcoming trip in my new minivan. I'm sure it will perform well.

Not cooling! Made of cheap sharp plastic

Not cooling! Made of cheap sharp plastic!I had to sand the handle of it on one to make it scratch-safe for my vehicle, then i realized - it’s not cooling! I thought may be it’s only that one, and ordered the second one. The Second came with broken handle, and even though i set it up in my car to see it it will cool - the ANSWER IS NO! It’s even worse then a regular cooler where you can drop a cold bottle and it will be nice and cool inside!The idea and size is great though! Quality is no good.

Really awesome just don't care for the plug

Fridge is actually really awesome. Works well and have been running it 24/7 since I've gotten it and it hasn't buckled at all. My only issue with the unit is minor, is the cord plug in is a bit flimsy and would rather see it be a direct plug into the unit rather than this tiny cord on the bottom sticking out. Other than that, really like this unit. Fits perfectly in my 18 speed truck between the seats.
