Pretty disappointed with this product and Kondor Blue's customer service.After installing it as suggested in their Youtube video, the side rail with the bubble level does not align with the mounting hole.I reached out to KB thinking that it was probably a defect. Their engineer told me to leave the bottom plate partially unscrewed, tighten the sides and then tighten the bottom screw.Surprise, after installing as they suggested, the bottom plate no longer makes complete contact with the bottom of the camera and the mounting points feeling like they're getting unnecessarily stressed.Funny thing is, they linked me to the YouTube video for the correct installation method and they screw in the bottom plate first...

I bought this one over the SmallrRig version because I liked that this one was one piece and I thought the little lip at the end of the handle would be helpful to keep your hand in place. However, I found this handle a little awkward to hold, and worse yet because of the machining on the Arri style 3/8 threading on the sides of the end piece it was actually pretty sharp and cuts against your hand a little bit. In the end, I ended up returning it and got the SmallRig version and I am very happy with it. The SmallRig version is more comfortable and feels more secure in your hand with the ribbed design underneath.

I tried the SmallRig extension first. This one is far superior. The SmallRig nato rail wants to lift when you clamp something nato tight. This one has a little extra material to clamp to instead of lifting off of the handle.
The length of the audio handle is ridiculous but this totally solves the issue. The only complaint I have is that the ARRI Locating pieces on the side are a bit sharp and can be uncomfortable when your hand hits it in the wrong way.

There are a couple issues that come with it.The HDMI door has to be removed off the camera in order to use the HDMI lock.The biggest issue I have with this is the built in plate on the bottom. I purchased this because of its built in plate and the fact that it slides into a gimbal from the left instead of the right like some other brands. However... Even though it is the same type of plate as the mount on the Ronin RS2, You can not use it on the RS2. The plate is too loose and will not lock in place. Sadly, the reason I bought this rig and can't even use it for that.The attached image shows that the lock does not reach the plate when it is engaged.Also, the bottom of the plate is ... MoreI have to say this is a nice cage. Well-built piece of gear from KB. It's not the type of cage you can quickly apply or remove. There 4 pieces and some very thin screws to deal with. But if you know what you're shooting, you can plan ahead and either have it on or off. I use this with the KB handle on top and the AB Titon base battery underneath. The result is a nice compact rig with very nice weight for handheld shots on the go. I use it on practically all my shoots except for when I'm using a gimbal. Unfortunately the plate on the bottom is not compatible with my Ronin SC2 gimbal so it comes off anytime I plan to use the gimbal. Otherwise it's a solid cage. The HDMI lock on the cage works fine. Crazy more companies don't have a single nato rail built for the FX3, but this was a great find. It took a minute to attach as if the screws were slightly too far apart, but after some finagling it screwed in no problem alongside my Tilta cage.
Not only does it extend the handle by a finger or two (which is so clutch for better grip), it has a variety of mounting points and a NATO rail option. I use the NATO rail and attach the KB nato rail cine arm, to attach my monitor - so easy and seamless to assemble and disassemble. I chose the KB version over the smallrig b/c KB is one piece vs the smallrig has the same overall design but is two pieces. Less is more ;)
Kondor makes an excellent cage for the fx3, in my opinion one of the best. I'd give it a 5 if they only gave you a choice of tripod plates. It's only sent with a ronin. I needed a manfrotto 501. B&H was kind enough to solve the issue. Hopefully will receive the plate I needed so I can finally make use of this product.
