Clarifies but dries out color treated hair

I ordered this shampoo because I was looking for one that would remove styling product build-up without damaging my color treated hair. I did not love the scent but was not averse to it either. What I didn't like is that the shampoo does not lather. I know lather is not required for washing, but I like the way suds feel when you massage your scalp. On the plus side, this shampoo did a good job of removing build-up, but it was very drying. I followed it up in the shower with conditioner but found my hair was very tangled and frizzy when I got out. So, I used a heavy coating of leave in conditioner to restore softness and manageability. By the time I was done blow drying, my hair was very shiny but also a little oily at roots due to extra leave in conditioner. Great Shampoo, Strange Smell

I am really finicky about the way a product smells, so this shampoo left me feeling sad. I really want to give it 5 stars, because as far as its function, it is spectacular. But the SMELL! My initial impression was that it smells like an industrial cleaning solution or a hand soap that you find in a nasty gas station bathroom. After I lathered up a bit, the product reminded me of my dog when I give him a bath. Yuck. BUT, here are the redeeming qualities. My hair turned out soft, manageable and 'style-able', and my scalp felt refreshed and clean. The shampoo cleansed away excess oil, dry skin, and built up product residue, exactly what I needed. I purchased the smaller sized bottle for $8. With the amount of hair that I have, and my plan to use the shampoo once weekly as a clarifying treatment, I anticipate that it will last between 8-12 months. That is a pretty great deal, considering that I am not a fan of the smell. But, I have 3 other yummy smelling shampoos that I use regularly, so considering the way this product functions, I am willing to keep it and try to ignore the weird smell once a week. I am giving it 4 stars for this reason, and if Klorane can improve the scent, it deserves 5 stars.

Love the Citrus

I bought this shampoo looking for a natural brand that is also effective, and I have some Klorane Dry Shampoo I really love. I chose this one because I love anything Citrus, and it says it can help with hard water. After finishing over half the bottle, I can say it smells great and cleans well. I did put that it doesn't lather well because it makes a ton of bubbles, but I can't spread them around well and find myself reaching for just a little more shampoo. This could be our hard water, I really can't tell. This product cleanses gently and thoroughly enough I often don't use conditioner, but I do use cream styling products out of the shower.

don't care for the scent
19 June 2020

It has a manly scent to me. I don't know if I would describe as musk or what, but even my husband said it smells like a shampoo for men. It does get my fine hair very clean and stays clean about a day longer than normal. However, I need to add a conditioner or something to get tangles out because it is very dry after use of this shampoo. The mango one I don't need to add anything, but stays clean about a day and a half like usual for me. That one also has a better smell.

With pollution, lime and stress, hair tends to become overloaded and lose tone. Thanks to the combination of Citron pulp and a sebum-regulating active ingredient, this shampoo acts as a concentrate of vitality and lightness. Packed with energy, hair is lighter and stays cleaner for longer. Ideal for normal hair with a tendency to get greasy quickly. Citron pulp, grown in Corsica, under the Mediterranean sun, respecting its ecosystem. It is recommended to apply on wet hair, and then massage the scalp for a few seconds. Rinse with plenty of water. Do not rub the scalp too much to avoid activating the sebaceous glands, which are the ones that produce sebum.
