Klein Tools A-MM720 Digital Multimeter TRMS Auto-Ranging 1000V Temp Low Impedance

I have a great appreciation of good quality tools. It goes back a long time and involves a pair of Klein & Sons side cutters model 201-9, handed down to me by my dad, who purchased them in the 1940's. The tool works as well today as it did 75 years ago. When I replaced my meter recently, I looked at the Klein MM720, and the other professional meter that most tradesmen know that starts with the letter "F". In my opinion they are both comparable meters except, the Klein was a much better price and it's just as good a quality than the other, and of course, it is easy to operate and with all the features I was looking for. In my mind, Klein Tools are the best of the market.

Great multimeter. Great price. It a no brainer to pick this one up. Been researching the MM720 againt other models and brands. Klein has some good meters. After testing it out against claims and reviews, I am happy to say I am quite impressed with this model. Seller was awesome. Transaction was perfect. Would definetely purchace from again.

Great Meter

I've been using an old Craftsman DVM for years. All of a sudden it started giving erroneous readings. I've acquired other Klein tools over the years and looked online for some recommendations for another DVM. This one, Model MM720, fit my budget and performed the functions I normally use a DVM for. So far so good. Like the case it comes in.

Great multimeter

I have the MM600 as well as this MM720 I upgraded to. This multimeters features of the black lcd with white text is a game changer. Visible night or day and it’s easy to read. The mm600 wasn’t bad the backlight just cut out too fast for me.I really love the multimeter. Despite the negative review claiming it was 7 degrees off is insane. Mine is off less than 2 degrees. If you’re using this for a nasa rated project you may need to invest in a tool that is and will be calibrated frequently. But for the average person this is a great investment.Compared the readings of this multimeter to that of the fluke and they were spot on. For the price I can’t complain. Paid I believe 119 for my MM600 and 99 for this MM720.The lcd screen is a game changer! I love this!

High quality multimeter

For the money I spent this is by far one of the best multimeters I have owned. I have used Simpsons and flukes in the past and though they are fine multimeters in their own right, they are very expensive. Klein makes a top quality product at a reasonable price. I use this multimeter in an industrial environment as well as on residential HVAC systems.

Meter broke in first month of use

The dial selector broke to where i could not use any of the modes that were counter clockwise on the selector dial. Not sure if this is a one off but quality control is obviously not as good as the better brands like fluke.

Temp readings off by 8 degrees

The first thing I checked! Looking for backup for my Fluke which along with my dry dial gauge, confirmed temp off. The tiny RTD sensor was found bent over in package but appears OK as it did measure.

Temp sensor 7 degrees off!

First thing I checked, then returned...why should I trust the rest? Checked against known accurate gauge and Fluke so will continue to use Fluke.

Works As Advertised

The first order received was faulty and was returned. The TEMP feature reading was off by 10 degrees. Received this order yesterday and checked almost all of the features and so far its working great. The only question that remains is for how long. We'll just have to wait and see. It looks nice and seems to be of good quality.
