Always relied on K&N in all my car'sHave saved a lot of $$ down the road in terms buying a new air filter at each service.Wash reoil and reuse ...best concept ever.A bit of improvement in throttle response.Fitted in a 2014 Hilux 2.7l petrol model.
Cheaper in the long run to go to a k&n filter when the other brands are $60 to $80 each time and I use them on our racing boat as well they breath amazing for all uses
Car is getting more air, can hear sucking noise under acceleration.
K&n claim gains in certain areas however I haven't noticed significant changes as yet so I guess it take Engine management system time to adjust .not noticed a roar around change as my vehicle roars anyway ! I went for direct replacement filter as opposed to getting rid of standard air box
You can tell it's made out of good material. I took out the old one out of my Hilux didn't look too bad apart from the bent fins. My guess is this one will last much longer as the material it's made of seems a lot tougher.
Came in a slightly beat up plain cardboard box looked like it had been sitting on a shelf for 15 years I didn't realise when I collected item the tape was split down centre so I was a bit concerned about filters condition..Pleasantly surprised tho the filter was good..Luckily i don't need them butNO paper work or instructions on or in box the *serviceable item* warning sticker for air box would of been nice tho!!
K&N reputation says it all. you save big dollars in not replacing them all the time just service them for a fraction of the cost of a cheapo replacement filter and with increased air flow the diesels absolutely love it. better power and economy
