I have had my Z10 espresso machine for about 9 months after having the S9 Avant Garde for 17 years! Thus far the Z10 has been simply amazing and a daily go-to for drinks as I now WFH. What I love about this machine:+ All-in-one with far better integration of coffee drinks and foam than the prior Jura machine we had+ The espresso seems to be better quality than the old machine, with creme like a pro+ The interactive screen is nice and somewhat easy to use, though the WiFi link to the app has not been dependable+ Communication from the machine on maintenance is quite helpful, and very intuitive in each process+ Highly programable in numerous functions+ New "smart filters" make this pretty fool-proof for life-cycle of water filters+ The LED lighting and colors ... MoreI have had my Z10 espresso machine for about 9 months after having the S9 Avant Garde for 17 years! This is a no-no for espresso cups- The bur grinder is in constant need of manually adjusting the beans to feed despite sufficient beans in the hopper (poor design IMO)- As noted earlier, the wireless communication is not fully-reliable, or the app is the issue... not sure, but also not deal-breakerBottom-line: excellent machine for superb espresso drinks. The "cold-press" is a nice feature for those who want to make espresso martinis, etc. I recommend this machine for picky espresso drinkers.

This is not an inexpensive item - I probably "added to cart" dozens of times before I actually bought it. I kept telling myself that I didn't drink coffee enough or wasn't a coffee aficionado to warrant a purchase such as this. I am here to say, if the cost is something you can get over then you will be so grateful that you just told yourself yes. But, if you need that little extra nudge - please make your way to a Williams & Sonoma store and have a demo done on this machine. This, honestly, was what made this giant, expensive, seemingly-complicated device become much more "normal" and "accessible". The amazing ladies at my local W&S gave me the best demo on their floor model Z10 and walked me thru all the ins and outs of this device. They had one left in-store and I knew I had to have it. Seriously, if you're on the fence - go get a demo at your local W&S....they will help you see how amazing this machine is. Note: I am writing this review as I drink coffee brewed by my Z10. It looks STUNNING in my kitchen and is so easy to set up and use. Cleaning is really easy as well. Best purchase I have made in a very long time.

Beautifully designed. Thoughtfully engineered. Creates my perfect hot cappuccino, espresso, coffee; and cold espresso and coffee extractions. The Z10 is a welcome addition to our kitchen. Prior to making my purchase, I considered a J8 twin with the sweet foam feature. However, I took the plunge and ordered my Z10 in beautiful midnight blue. For sweet foam, I add my syrup to my cup before starting a cappuccino. When the milk foam dispenses, I stir the syrup and milk foam together which works well in distributing sweetness and flavor. So I have no regrets about having a Z10. The machine is quiet and ever so easy to use. I do relish the auto milk foam and steamed milk features of the Z10. Mind you, I upgraded from a 20 year old Saeco Taleo Giro, which still works well. ... MoreBeautifully designed. Thoughtfully engineered. Daily maintenance of the Z10 is a breeze as it guides me through cleaning the milk system and my daily final machine rinse, emptying the puck container, and washing the drip tray before turning it off for the night. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
Do we love it? YES!"The Barista", as we have named her is very popular! Always at the ready to make our delicious variety of drinks. The man of the house did not think it possible to break his 20+ year ritual with a "not to be named" popular worldwide coffee shop... Pleased to say, we no longer need to go elsewhere for a better cup of coffee. Breaking that outside coffee habit pays for this at-home barista in one year. (he still wants his paper cups... and I'm a potter :0 , but can't break all the habits at once)Finding the perfect beans has been the biggest challenge but we have finally found fabulous locally roasted beans. And if anyone is interested the Bean to Cup Decaf that Jura sells is an excellent decaf for your after-hours decaf drinks. We also got the ... MoreDo we love it? It is super simple to perform deeper cleaning when prompted, the milk system is easy to clean daily, the water filter is easy to change when needed and she basically talks to you, letting you know what she wants... she is not that needy. :)We have our very own coffee shop now, what else can I say besides...LOVE IT!!!One of our best purchases ever.
We bought a Z10 new a few years ago and absolutely love it. So when we decided to buy a second Z10 for our second home, I got a Factory Refurbished Z10. Unfortunately, it does not perform the same, and I am not sure I would have known if I didnt already own a Z10.The refurbished Z10 makes plain coffee okay, but it does not make milk drinks the same. The milk foam has large bubbles in it and sprays milk all over the front of the machine. It did not come with the Jura Wifi connect, like our new one did. So there is no controlling it w/ the Joe App like our new Z10.The good? I can tell they put in a new drip tray, coffee grounds container/and chrome cup platform. The exterior looked as good as new. The coffee make was well packaged for shipping. Plain coffee drinks/espresso are fine.I know this is picky but the refurbished Z10 also does not sound the same when it makes coffee. It sounds like an old beat up tractor. It rarely makes coffee pucks the same as our new Z10 does. The product counter on the Refurbished was 3491 when I powered it on. Maybe this is just what happens to these after that many.I equate it to, you bought a used Rolex but it doesnt keep time right. Or you bought a used Porsche 911 but it turns out it was a rebuilt wreck. It looks fine to others, but when you use it, you know it does not perform like it should. If I had it to do over again, I wish I would have just bought a new Jura Z10. I just love the velvety milk drink it makes.
After 10 days of daily use, I can happily and whole heartedly recommend this item. This item is expensive but performs as advertised! Following a less than delightful experience with a Miele CM6360 that I eventually returned (see review), I upgraded to the more expensive, and more capable Jura Z10. We have not been disappointed! It was easy to setup. It is quick to heat up and make incredible drinks (hot and cold). It is easy to program the screen and add your preferred drinks, all drinks are easily and infinitely customizable on the fly or saved to the screen for easy recall. Read the book or watch a few YouTube videos and you are up and running. Likes: Great Quality of Drink! One touch to fill 16 oz Hydro Flask in the morning with French Roast Coffee. Super easy ground coffee bypass used every night to make a perfect decaf Cafe Verona (yum). Super easy to make all the foam or steamed milk drinks that everybody loves. Easy clean up! Opportunity for improvement: 1. Price. 2. Have to use tablets once a day to clean milk system (although I admit it is super easy). 3. Water container could be a bit bigger (but it's close to the sink so not an issue).
The Z10 is my 7th Jura coffee maker. Unfortunately, it is a step backward from the Z9. While the product options have increased, there is no apparent improvement in most of these, and the Cafe Barista is better in the Z9. The bean holder is definitely inferior to the Z9. The Z9 coffee delivery was more efficient and did a better job of delivering beans into the grinder whereas the coffee beans tend to hang up in the Z10 bean holder such that the message "refill beans" really means stir the beans in the holder to break up the log jam. The coffee grounds holder is now integrated into a one piece unit in the Z10 that makes it more difficult to empty into my counter top compost bin. The Z9 coffee grounds holder was separate from the tray that holds it, making it a smaller part to maneuver to empty. In addition, the tray under the coffee grounds recepticle always has a small collection of grownd coffee on it that ends up spilling onto the counter when the grounds recepticle is emptied into the compost container, unless those coffee grounds are first rinsed off the tray. All in all, the Z9 was a better machine than the Z10.
I would highly discourage anyone from buying this machine! After 2 weeks of use the machine became clogged. Tried everything to fix it ourselves. Called the jura service line and were instructed how to stick fingers into the machine to clean off the portafilter because the machine fails to do so effectively itself. This is something we now have to repeat 1-2 times daily. We sent the machine away to try and have the problem fixed but Jura simply sent it back and told us the beans we are using are too oily! Wtf? We use run of the mill beans purchased from a grocery store or Cafe, as we always have with every coffee machine we've owned. Yes, sometime beans are on the oily side, sometimes not. We use run of the mill beans purchased from a grocery store or Cafe, as we always have with every coffee machine we've owned. Yes, sometime beans are on the oily side, sometimes not. Either way, the machine clogs repeatedly and for the ridiculous price of this thing, it's pathetic that one must resort to using light roast beans only or face endless clogging issues. We tried for a month to use only light roast, dry/not oily beans and the problem did not resolve. It would appear the machine is poorly engineered and prone to clogs and Jura simply chooses to put the blame in the customer. As of 2 weeks ago, the machine now leaks water all over the counter when trying to make coffee and flashes Error 8 daily requiring an unplug to reset. For the ridiculous price of this machine and it's inability to do even the basics I would highly recommend people buy literally anything other than Jura. We'll be going back to another brand by the end of the month and will keep the Jura to make YouTube and social videos demonstrating it's poor quality. This machine is a big loss and regret, I hope no one else makes the same mistake. Surely, had Jura advertised that the machine does not work with oily beans (like 80% of what is available for sale anywhere) we would have steered clear of this abysmal invention. For the ridiculous price, it should be able to do so much more than just the basics, and it can't even do that. AVOID!!!
I had and older Jura well over 17 years( repaired it once). In the last 17 years my family and I enjoyed thousands of quality drinks from that old Jura. There is a leak from the brew unit that made me think of getting a new wan rather repairing it.I saw the comparison video on this site and found it very helpful and comprehensive. You still get most of your drinks in hot brew, but time to time( specially for summer that you want an iced Americano or other cold drinks) you can use the cold brew. The difference is out of this world as you do not dilute your drink with lots of melted ice over hot sperso. The cold brew comes at room temperature so it wont melt the ice in the cup quickly, you are going to have a beautiful, strong and cold iced Americano.Just the looks of this machine worths the price. The cleaning and maintenance is much easier than my old one.Buy it if you can. You'll love it.
