I bought this bbq for my caravan. It’s great at searing on the grill but it begs the question why it has a hood as when closed cannot go beyond 150c. Not hot enough to bake/roast. That’s what you get with thin metal construction cannot hold heat. Pay the extra and get a similar bbq with thicker heat holding capacity for all round bbq abilities.
purchased for camping. pretty solid construction and easy to clean. I like the larger cook area compared to more expensive portable bbqs. where this bbq falls short is the uneven cooking, the middle cooks a lot faster than the edges, but if you are a diligent cook, this is easily manageable by rotating meats and does produce well cooked sausages/burgers/chicken. the other disappointment is that this bbq can not be connected to caravan/rv bayonet gas outlet (which is actually what I wanted to do) as there are no hoses/adaptors available. the manufacturer correctly pointed out that this is illegal, however other well known brands sell such hoses for their bbqs.
We purchased this a week ago and it’s been really good but the only thing is the fire tamer it comes with is really smoky, it literally smokes that much nobody can be around it. Apart from that it cooks really well but the smoke is really bad, I think because it’s a Rea large fire tamer it heats up and just smokes , the metal itself just smokes.(not sure if that’s healthy)

Its very smoky! Not sure what it is, but it might be the flame tamer, which has pretty much cooked as well, and cannot be replaced. It's also not that easy to clean without pulling apart.
Does my smash burgers nicely, but needs to reheat in-between burger patties. Thanks Guga food's for the recipe. You little beauty.
OWNED FOR A LONG TIME 2 years CREATES LOTS OF FLAMES SO CHEAP ON GAS NEVER CHANGED A 9 KG BOTTLE YET used once a month in winter more in warmer weather but cooks well lots of smokejust lots of more flames even on low cooking likes to burn fat none gets collected in tray bellow
