I'm a big fan of all the color options and the fun green color on these ones makes it easy to spot wherever I may put the case down. My only complaint is that the tap settings are too sensitive because I frequently manage to skip songs from my hair hitting against them--maybe a way to adjust the sensitivity?

After 19 months, they're still amazing!

They worked perfectly for that and have been great at staying on my ear ever since. The quality is amazing as far as I'm concerned. I've probably used them for an average of 5 hours a day since I got them (some days it's less than one hour, other days it's 9 hours) and I've never run into major issues with them. However, I'm sure that's just a result from them being banged around for a year and a half. Speaking of, I've found the case to be very durable. It's been dropped on cement multiple times, and each time I've gotten away with just a scratch, nothing that's impacted it's functionality.I see a lot of reviews saying that they break after a few months or that they can't get them to reconnect. I've had mine for 19 months and they still work great. I've had mine disconnect and seemingly not reconnect, but I just let them sit in the case overnight and they connected just fine the next day (and that's only happened 2 or 3 times).Overall, these were a very worthy investment. I loved them so much I bought them for my ex when she was having earbud trouble. She said she could never get them to connect, but she had a very cheap phone which I feel like may have been the real issue. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone in search of durable earbuds that will stay in your ear.

When I wrote them this exact email they ignored me. No response. So I guess I got 4 pairs of headphones that worked for about four week’s cumulatively

Don’t work and they’re brand new…. Avoid

I just bought these about 8 hours ago. I’ve had two other pairs of Jlab headphones so this isn’t my first rodeo. Tried pairing them, wouldn’t pair so I figured I’ll try to charge them. Plugged them in for an hour, finally managed to get it to connect but they instantly said low battery. Plugged them in for a few more hours, same thing just instantly says low battery and turns off. Tried the tapping 7 times thing, different wall chargers, left vs right, cleaning connection… nothing they’re just duds. I have an old generation of these same headphones and the ear buds version so I know how they are supposed to work… these are busted right out of the box! I’m so disappointed. Good customer support; earbuds do not last long
27 July 2024

This is the fourth pair of Jbuds I've owned. The third in the past 4 weeks that has failed after a handful of uses. I wear them out running, not any sort of strenuous service where failure would be expected.Jlabs replaced the first pair (offered me a $30 credit toward another purchase). I decided to try for a more expensive pair for the second round, applying the $30 credit and spending $20, thinking they would stand up better. That pair failed within one week. Jlabs offered me a $30 credit for the $50 pair, so I went back with a $30 pair again. They failed after 2 uses.Jlab has excellent customer service (though I'm slightly bitter about not getting my credit on the $50 pair); I just want a pair of headphones I can use for more than a few days without breaking.

If they only last.

I bought my original pair back in December, of 2023. I enjoyed them, they worked as you'ed expect them to work. But, after two months the right earbud just died on me. Pretty sure it is a battery issue with the bud because I would take them off, and put them in the charging box. After a day in the box, they charged, but the right earbud would die after about thirty minutes of use. After a couple of days of this I put in a warranty claim, and got a new pair sent to me. They are working for the moment, but noticed they are having connection issues also. Which is what happened with the original pair. So, kind of expecting the warranty pair to malfunction, sooner than later. Pretty good earbuds when working. The fit, sound and functions are great. Just hope they last ... MoreI bought my original pair back in December, of 2023. I enjoyed them, they worked as you'ed expect them to work. But, after two months the right earbud just died on me. It's a good value for the Price; very "sensitive"

First off, I'm 65 yrs old; so if I can figure it out, you can. HOWEVER, it was an adjustment. I went from single ear super easy to use Plantronics to fast forward high tech new stereo earbuds. They do compromise the inner ear in size. THE "BE AWARE" option I finally figured out; they fit so good and tight in your ear that you do NOT hear sounds outside your smartphone or podcast or tv or whatever. So choosing BE AWARE makes the headset allow outside noise in and doesn't "cancel" it out. Gotta read the Instructions and keep them nearby; AND it pays off to download the JLABS App because you are able to turn OFF the Sensory Touch mode on the external earpiece. You'll see what I mean. Ridiculous design choices ruin otherwise quality earbuds.

Pros: Very sturdy, stay in my ears during long-distance running, sound quality is superb.Cons: Positive qualities are entirely kneecapped by the absurd decision to have no buttons to press, making it almost impossible to control. There are numerous controls for each side but *no buttons*. Single, double, and triple-taps all have different functions (for each ear!!), and so even lightly tapping them can result in unexpected pausing/playing, volume changes, or Siri being turned on. For instance, if I pause a podcast and put the earbuds in my pocket, they'll start playing again. Always a great surprise when I want to resume where I left off but can't because they've been playing for the three hours.Another issue is that the charging case is *critical* for pairing to a device. No case? Earbuds are bricked. Even if you've just recently unpaired the earbuds, they won't be able to reconnect if you don't have the case. Having to carry around a case all day is annoying and really undercuts the portability of the device.I've previously used earbuds that didn't have this issue. They paired without an external case, volume buttons were present, and you could turn them off and on with ease. With these, you need to commit to memory a series of taps - and which earbud they correspond with - to get a desired function. It seems like I'm never able to get them to work, unless the earbuds are in my pocket, at which point all of the buttons get pressed. There's a book called "The Design of Everyday Things" which outlines why button-less devices are much harder to use. There's no sensory output for the user, so there's no way to know if you actually pressed a button. It's a shame; these have great sound quality and stay in my ears during runs, but the user interface is awful and makes them a headache to use. Would not recommend.
