The JBL Quantum 100X is an okay headset. It definitely does the job if you're looking for a mediocre headset or a temporary replacement headset. I use it for gaming and watching movies from my PC. I like the fact that it's from a reputable brand, it's dependable, it has the features needed for gaming such as: volume control, mute button, microphone and it's adjustable. I really dislike the length of the cord, it's too short and doesn't allow me step away far enough without taking it off, it needs more length. The headset is a little too light for my liking, it feels a little cheap because of the weight. I don't like the volume control and mute button on the headphone, I think it should be on the cord. I like the mic removal feature and the option to remove the mic cover but the mic itself is super flexible and just seems like it'll break after a few uses. I was surprised with the quality of the material with it being a JBL product. It seemed a bit cheap, especially the earpiece cover, it felt like plastic.

Windows Sonic Spatial Audio is a highlighted feature for Xbox applications as well.Other applications that are supported by the Quantum 100X Console include Skype, Discord (Certified), as well as Teamspeak! My use and review/testing of the unit was related to my PS5 console and many sports and adventure role playing type games. Let me say.. WOW! My old headset did not offer near the clarity or depth of sound that I enjoyed while using this JBL unit. Bass was thumpy and punchy as you would want when playing these games to experience the real feel of being immersed IN THE GAME! Voice interactions as well as music is very crisp and clear with no distortion under the most rigorous situations.I used the unit for gaming for several hours on end and did not experience any type of head and neck fatigue as the unit is lightweight and just simple WORKS! The last thing any gamer needs when in the heat of battle is frustration from an uncomfortable gaming accessory and this one delivers! The only drawback I did not enjoy was the length if the cord supplied with the unit. The black/green cord (approximately 3 ft long) is permanently affixed on the headphone unit on one end so I did order an extra long cable extension as to utilize a more comfortable gaming seat several feet from my console. In closing the JBL is a viable alternative to much higher priced units the deliver a similar experience. I have enjoyed many hours with this unit and have not found any sound situation the unit does not handle flawlessly! You will not regret giving this Quantum 100X a shot at satisfying even the most picky gamer's ear... because ultimately.. SOUND IS SURVIVAL!

I have been using these headphones for computer gaming and so far they have worked exactly as I would expect them to. I was looking for a comfortable headphone for gaming and these fit what I was looking for. They fit quite nicely and part of that is likely due to the mobility of the ear pieces. They are not locked in to a specific position as other gaming headphones are. The ear pieces have the ability to rotate inwards and backwards. Another thing that makes them comfortable for me is there is enough space between the speakers and my ear. I have used other headphones when the speaker is pressed against my ear and after a while it makes my ear feel a bit sore. I have not run into that issue with these headphones, so I'm able to be comfortable for longer. For me comfort of the headphones while gaming is one of if not the top priority. While I do enjoy quality sound It becomes hard to pick up on some differences in sound quality between headphones, but something that is always noticeable is how comfortable they are. So these headphones ticked that box for me.The sound quality is very good. I feel that the details from the surrounding environments in the games is picked up quite well. The microphone has not given me any issues and I havent heard any comments from people online about how my mic might sound so I assume the quality of my voice through the mic is being sent out well enough.

I used this headset with my PS5, Switch, and work laptop. I was very pleased with all three uses! They are comfortable and light and I can wear them for hours without discomfort. I typically can’t wear a large headset for hours while playing games because my ears and neck get uncomfortable, but I never had that issue with this headset. The sound quality is top notch, as with most JBL products. Tons of clear bass, which really adds to a video game. The mic works great and no one ever had an issue hearing me. It seemed to block out ambient noise as well—my roommate could be making noise in the kitchen one room over, and it didn’t matter.I also used them for some Teams calls for work and they were excellent in that context too.I like that the microphone can be ... MoreI used this headset with my PS5, Switch, and work laptop. This JBL product has remarkably good sound for an inexpensive headphone set. The cord attached is sturdy (very important!) but rather short. I purchased a 3.5 mm male to female extension cord to use with this headphone. The volume control is located on the earpiece, not inline with the cable like some gaming headsets. The ear cups are comfortable, but the spring on the top band is a bit stiff which can cause some issues for extended use. As with any good fitting headphone of this type. external noises are severely attenuated. I primarily use this to listen to music, I like that the microphone is detachable and separate from the headset, so if you don't use it, you don't need to have it in your face. But it is great for listening to music!
The Quantum 100P gaming headset is a good entry level headset. The headphones are very light and have a decent build quality. They will last if taken care of. They are primarily made of plastic except for the padding on the ear cups. The ear cups have a soft comfortable feel. I could easily wear these all day without having that skull crushing feeling you get from allot of headsets. They don’t hurt my neck from being heavy. The Quantum 100p plugs into my ps5 controller easily as if it was made for this controller. Using it with my ps5 allowed me to experience the PlayStation’s 3D audio which is exceptional. The headset has 40mm drivers and have decent sound output. They don’t give a mind blowing experience but they offer good performance for what they are. I would say these are great for a young person who wants a good console based headset. The microphone performs well and has a mute button located on the side of ear cup. The mic is very focused and balanced. It can easily be disconnected if you don’t want to use it. Having a volume knob on the ear cup is very useful and a great feature. These gaming headphones being wired, being composed of mostly plastic materials and having basic features make this an entry level headset. An entry level headset that I would definitely purchase. I enjoy using these for extended periods of time. My kids are also enjoying these. They utilize them for all of the consoles we have in our home.
An absolute banger audio experience for a budget! The drivers give a very “gamer” sound profile while maintaining great detail in all fields. For anyone just getting into gaming or needing something a little more than what was included with your system. These are the perfect buy!Sound Quality: Crisp highs overpower the mids and lows but the drivers still maintain to make everything audible. Although not preferred for gaming, there is a noticeable lack in the low end in sustained circumstances. During a few major scenes some major dialog was washed out with explosions and the crackle of other sounds. For the average gamer, they are great. The microphone being detachable is a plus for travel as well as allowing for easier packaging. While being crisp and clear, words being said by the user seem to be slightly muffled in some louder environments. Very solid microphone for most situations.Build Quality: Hard Plastics and leatherette feeling ear cups, nothing too special, although very rigid. The headband including a small area of top padding allows for longer periods of use. The expanding part is very snappy and robust while also being made of hard plastic. Rotating ear cups are always a welcome addition to any set of headphones allowing for easier storage and flexibility when fitting various head sizes.Packaging: Environmentally friendly materials accommodate the simple and clean presentation perfectly. The unboxing is strait to the point. An included detachable microphone along with the headset themself is front and center as soon as you open the box.Overall: The good sound quality and average build quality are perfect for the casual gamer although may leave a more experienced gamer wanting more.
The Quantum 100X are wired over-ear headphones, primarily matte plastic with faux-leather on the earcups and green memory foam on the headband. They’re lightweight and the earcup padding is plush, and the clamping force is pretty decent. I have a pretty big head and they didn't feel tight at all, so those with normal-sized heads might feel even more comfortable. The wired connection means no lag in the audio, and the detachable, flexible microphone was high-quality. I used these for a few conference calls and folks on the other end said I sounded loud and clear. Volume control and mute are on the left earcup, and if I’m honest the rotary switch for volume felt a little loose. Overall the build fits that of a budget headset. In terms of sound quality, it’s pretty ... MoreThe Quantum 100X are wired over-ear headphones, primarily matte plastic with faux-leather on the earcups and green memory foam on the headband. Overall the build fits that of a budget headset. In terms of sound quality, it’s pretty obvious out of the gate that the 100X was not meant for listening to music but was designed primarily for gamers. Don't get me wrong, JBL makes great sounding headphones at all price levels, but if you're a primarily music listener there are better JBL options. The sound from the 40mm driver is super crisp and well-balanced. There seemed to be a slight bass boost, which didn’t bother me with gaming – instead it seemed to enhance the game experience. I was really impressed by how well JBL separates the highs and mids as opposed to drowning them out with lows, which is a real plus. You could hear footsteps around you even with explosions and other deep, loud noises. The soundstage is narrower than you’d find in an open-ear headphone, but if you’re in a noisy room or you want to keep the sounds to yourself, these are a really nice option. The surround sound worked really well, in my opinion. I was easily able to determine where things were happening.Bottom line: the JBL Quantum 100X are really good, inexpensive, entry-level gaming headphones. They are lightweight and comfortable, the minimalistic design looks good (I really like the green accents), the microphone was clear, and the sound was more than passable for gaming if not exceptional.

I never got a headache or had any uncomfortable spots while wearing these for extended hours. Some may say these lean on the lighter side regarding weight, I think that is a bonus as what helps to make them so comfortable all the while not sacrificing build quality. The braided cable is a nice touch offering less tangles and durability and the actual 3.5mm jack itself is a fantastic design that offers your fingers a sturdy hold when plugging and unplugging. These headphones offer a handy volume dial as well as a mute button on the left side. I love being able to adjust volume on the fly and found this a welcome feature. There is also a removable boom mic that plugs in under the left earpiece giving the user the option of a mic. The JBL Quantum 100P console headphones boast 40mm drivers as well as JBLs QuantumSound Signature. These headphones are compatible with PS4, PS5 (PS5 3D audio compatible), XBOX ONE (S)(X), also series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PC etc. I like to feel a game when I’m playing which is where the bass comes in, and these definitely have the right stuff! I tested them on Xbox Series S as well as PS5. From the horse galloping in Elden Ring to the wide range of explosions in shooters such as Modern Warfare 2, Overwatch and Apex you will be fully immersed in your games thanks to these cans. The low end is punchy but tight enough to offer up some incredible sounding bass. You also have the clean highs and mids you would expect from JBL. The mic delivers great clarity according to my teammates who never had a issue understanding me.JBL is a name everyone is familiar with regarding durable products, huge sound and great prices and the bottom line is these Quantum 100P console headphones offer phenomenal sound while being comfortable and not breaking your bank. If you are on the fence trust me when I say you will not be sorry giving these a go!
The JBL Quantum 100x for being an entry level gaming headset is one anyone can enjoy and use easily. Out of the box I tested it out with my Playstation 4 Remote. The headset is very light but sturdy. The soft leather cushions stay snug and sit well on my ears. The cushions could be a little bigger. There is not a lot of cushion on the top of the head, mainly plastic so had to adjust to make it comfortable. During gameplay the sound coming thru was very clear and you could definitely make out the treble and bass. I wish the volume could be a little louder though. When live talking with my friends they said they could hear me well except that I was a little too loud so I had to adjust the mic a little bit. The mic that came with the headset is adjustable. Overall from using it a couple of days, it is a simple ergonomic reliable gaming headset. I recommend this to anyone who just needs a dependable simple light headset. But if you are looking for something with more features such as the ability to have volume controls from the cord, more deeper sound definition or more personalized fit then look into the next tier of the Quantum series. But for hitting the main uses of being able to hear live clear sound, talk with your friends and light soft fit. Look no further than the Quantum 100x.
